Six valuable watches belonging to Keanu Reeves will be turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Chilean Authorities said on Tuesday, July 29.
Among the watches is an engraved Rolex Submariner worth at least $9,500. The total value of the wristwear is $125,000, a police officer from Chile’s robbery investigation squad told the Associated Press (AP).
Chilean prosecutors told reporters The Matrix actor, 60, identified the valuable watches as the same ones stolen from his Los Angeles home in December 2023. CNN first reported the watches had turned up in eastern Santiago a year later in December 2024. At the time, authorities arrested one individual in connection with the “violent robberies.”

“Detectives under the Robbery and Criminal Intervention Investigation Brigade seized in Peñalolén, diverse jewelry, valuable watches, and stolen objects including a watch belonging to a famous movie actor, a victim of a robbery in Los Angeles in December of 2023” the Investigations Police of Chile (PDI) wrote in a translated post on X.

In a video captured by the AP, officials show the engraving on the back of the Rolex Submariner. “The John Wick Five” is written above the actor’s first name and “Thank You — JW4 — 2021,” referencing John Wick: Chapter 4, filmed in 2021. PEOPLE previously reported Reeves was known to surprise his stunt team with luxury watches.
“Best wrap gift ever,” stuntman Jeremy Marinas wrote on his Instagram story along with a photo of the Rolex.
Local police found the watches while raiding homes in Santiago, uncovering stolen cars, iPhones, more luxury watches and designer purses.
According to the AP, the operation coincided with another Chilean investigation, coordinated by the FBI, into burglaries by South American crime groups targeting multimillion dollar homes in the U.S. In February, seven Chilean nationals were charged in connection to burglaries at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

However, Marcelo Varas, a member of the robbery investigation squad, told the AP it is unclear if there is any link between Reeves’ stolen watches and the other high-profile cases.

This is not the first time the Speed actor’s home was broken into.
On September 12, 2014, police responded to an active burglary at Reeves’ home around 5 a.m, per CNN. Nothing was taken from the home, though a woman in her 40s was detained and taken to a medical facility for evaluation, according to police. Reeves was home during the time of the incident.
A different woman allegedly broke into the home three days later. The suspect was enjoying the pool when police arrived around 10:13 a.m.
