NEED TO KNOW
Kayla Wallace is going to be a mom!
The Landman actress, 32, is pregnant and expecting her first baby with her actor husband, Kevin McGarry, announcing the news on Instagram. In the snap, the couple stands in front of their decorated Christmas tree as McGarry holds onto her growing baby bump.
“We can’t wait to meet you, baby♥️ Premiering 2026,” the couple wrote in their joint caption.
Wallace and McGarry first met while starring on the Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart in 2018, when they both joined the series for season 6, which aired in the spring of 2019. He was cast as Nathan Grant, one of Hope Valley’s mounties, and she played Fiona Miller for five seasons before being written off the show ahead of season 11 due to scheduling conflicts.
McGarry seemingly confirmed their relationship on Instagram in November 2020 shortly after wrapping production on season 8. He posted a photo of two coffee cups on a counter, surrounded by Polaroid photos of himself and Wallace together. He coyly captioned the post, “Photo evidence. 📸.”
Then, two years later in December 2022, McGarry and Wallace announced their engagement via a joint Instagram post featuring a clip of the couple kissing, set to The Beatles classic “In My Life.” Wallace wrote in the caption, “Forever ❤️.”
In September 2024 during a panel appearance at the annual Hearties Family Reunion fan event, McGarry confirmed that he and Wallace had tied the knot. In a video from the event, shared on Instagram by the fan account Suspenders Unbuttoned, the panel host can be heard remarking to McGarry, “You’ve got a ring on your finger. I hope it’s not a prop.”
The actor said “no” and held up his hand to show off the ring as the audience clapped and cheered the news.

McGarry and Wallace are just one of several couples to find real-life love thanks to the show. In April 2024, series lead Erin Krakow told PEOPLE she thinks the show has sparked some cast romances because “there’s just always been a bit of magic in Hope Valley.”
“There’s something so special about our show and the energy in Jamestown [British Columbia, Canada], where we shoot,” she added.
