Katherine LaNasa and Grant Show have a specific way they keep their 13-year marriage strong.
Speaking exclusively with PEOPLE at the Baby2Baby Gala alongside her husband earlier this year, the Pitt actress, 59, joked about the key to maintaining the couple’s relationship after all these years.
“Our key to staying married? … Not getting divorced,” she quipped, as Show, 63, echoed her sentiment, adding, “Not breaking up.”
LaNasa and the Melrose Place star first crossed paths while filming the HBO drama Big Love back in 2006.
After spending time hanging out and going bowling as just friends, Show previously explained to Redbook that he finally got the courage to ask LaNasa out eight months later.
The couple eventually announced their engagement in July 2012, and they tied the knot at The Oak Grove at Ribbit Tree & Plant Nursery in Topanga, Calif., the following month.

In August 2013, Show told PEOPLE that he and Lanasa — who share 11-year-old daughter Eloise — are “like best friends.”
“We just do things together all of the time. She’ll do things that are not necessarily things that she wants to do that I like to do — like she’ll go play golf with me — and then I’ll do things with her, like go shopping. And then you know, you just have to make sure to keep doing it,” he explained.

Show also said that he and LaNasa always make sure to prioritize spending quality time together, despite their busy schedules.
“We’ve made sure that we get together in the same city and in the same bed at least once every 10 days — no more than 10 days go by,” he told PEOPLE at the time. “So I’ll fly to see her, she’ll fly to see me.”
LaNasa celebrated her and Show’s 13th wedding anniversary earlier this year with a sweet tribute post on Instagram, sharing a collection of black-and-white photos from time they’ve spent together.
“Great year baby,” LaNasa wrote in the post’s caption. “Love you to pieces. Happy 13. 🤍.”
