NEED TO KNOW
Kate Gosselin appears to be feeling nostalgic.
In a TikTok posted on Monday, Aug. 11, the mom of eight shared never-before-seen photos of her kids from 2010, and she seemed emotional as she reflected on how quickly time has passed.
“I just wanted to preface and tell you a story about the photos I’m about to show you,” she said as the video, which she took while walking her dog, began.
“It was in 2010 — so the kids were 6, Mady and Cara would’ve been 9 — Deanna, our makeup artist friend – do you remember her from our show? – She came one summer morning and we decided she was gonna do makeup on the girls and mustaches and beards on the boys.”

Kate, 50, said that the result of the fun activity was “the most precious pictures” of her kids.
“She came, we did it on the patio of our Pennsylvania house — they’re the most precious pictures. I totally had forgotten about them,” she said in the video.
“I came across them the other day, and I cannot wait to share them, because the kids are so happy with the result, and they’re so cute, and it was such a fun little silly, fun summer project to do together.”
“I hope you enjoy these pictures. Let me know what you think — they’re really cute,” Kate said as the video ended. “I wish I could go back.”
In the caption, she called the photos “the good old days❤️.”
Kate’s reminiscing came days after her son Collin, 21, shared a candid message about how estranged he is from his siblings.
On Aug. 7, her son, whom she shares with ex Jon Gosselin, shared a photo with his seven siblings on TikTok, writing over it, “Born to be a team, us against the world.”
In the slide over, he shared what the reality of his relationship with his siblings is, as he said he’s “forced to do it alone, and wonder every day what our lives could’ve looked like.”
He elaborated further in the caption. “Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids?” he wrote, seemingly slamming his parents’ choice to put their family on TV in Jon & Kate Plus 8.
Of his siblings, Collin said he will “always love them more than anything” and admitted he’s cried “behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could’ve shared.”
Kate and her attorney, Richard Puleo, confirmed to PEOPLE that they “have no comment.”
Tensions have been high of late between Collin and Kate after he claimed she abused him.
Last year, Collin told The Sun that his mom forced him to live in what he called a “containment room” where he was “isolated” from his siblings, dating back to when he was eight.
“My mother at many, many times, and most of the time, became physically abusive, verbally, very abusive with the things she would say,” he told the outlet.
Kate’s attorney said in response to the allegations that the mom of eight “did what she did to protect herself and her family” from Collin’s “troubled behavior.” (PEOPLE covered these allegations at the time and had reached out to Kate and her attorney then, but did not hear back about this request.)

The allegations came after Collin revealed he was “discharged” from the Marines because he was “in an institution at one point in my life,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
Kate sent Collin to an institution for what she claimed to be “unpredictable and violent behavior” when he was 12, and he told the outlet it was “the most scared I’ve probably ever been in my life” and he “didn’t even say goodbye” to his siblings before he went.
Collin’s dad, Jon, later told TMZ that his son had started college at Penn State and was “doing really well.”
“He’s just moving forward past everything that happened to him,” Jon, 48, said.

Collin’s decision to speak out gave him “closure,” his dad added, as he addressed whether Kate and Collin will ever reconcile.
“I mean if I had to predict, I don’t think that will ever happen just because there is much animosity.”
