Kash Doll has gone viral for her over-the-top wedding gift for her best friend.
The rapper, 36, recently attended the Detroit nuptials of Kendra P, the CEO of the luxury hair line Miink Brazilian, and rapper Payroll Giovanni, according to a joint Instagram post shared by the bride and wedding planner Suhair Kallabat.
The post features a video of a Fox 2 Detroit news segment with a clip showing Kash Doll, who served as maid of honor, “making it rain” by dropping $20,000 worth of $20 bills on the newlywed couple at their reception. As onlookers cheered her on, the musician held a stack of bills and flicked them all over the ground around the bride and groom, who danced and laughed in excitement.
A little boy could be seen sliding around in the piles of cash on the floor as other bills fluttered in the air.
“What’s the perfect wedding gift from a Maid of Honor named @KashDoll to her bridal bestie marrying a man whose show name is @payroll_giovanni after you two have already iced one another out and made each other Birkin Besties!? How about a whole lotta cash — 20k to be exact!” Kallabat wrote in the caption.
The event planner later spoke to Fox 2 Detroit’s Ronia Shamona about the wild wedding moment.
When asked how the idea to drop the cash came about, Kallabat began by describing the special bond the two women share. “Kash Doll and Kendra P are soulmates,” she said. “They met at church, and they are so rare and their love for each other is so unique that no monetary substance can put a number to it.”
She then revealed, “[Kash Doll] actually wanted to do a lot more,” explaining that Kendra used to send videos of “Nigerian and Albanian weddings where they’re showering and raining [money] on the couple” and always thought it was “so cool.”
“So Kash Doll said, ‘Let’s do it!’ ” Kallabat continued. “And she did.”
The planner also shared that Kash Doll originally wanted to give Kendra “a huge honeymoon package, so Kendra said this is going to go towards her honeymoon.”
As for whether the money shower moment was planned, Kallabat said, “With Kash Doll, it’s always spontaneous. She’s always cool and extravagant, but very, very much to the heart.”
Then, the Fox 2 Detroit reporter asked the burning question that was on the minds of many people who viewed the viral video: Who was in charge of gathering up all the money from the floor?

“Well, actually, we had a few brooms put aside, and everybody kind of helped put it all in a big bag and gave it to Kash Doll’s mother. She put all the bills back together and handed it over to the couple,” Kallabat said.
Kash Doll released her sophomore album, The Last Doll, in November 2024. Over her career, she has collaborated with artists including Big Sean, Meek Mill and Iggy Azalea.
