One of Justin Timberlake’s recent performances is under fire from fans.
A video of the Trolls star, 44, singing “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” during a performance at the Electric Castle festival in Romania went viral on TikTok after one fan called out Timberlake for singing very little of the song live.
In the clip, the musician could be seen putting the hood of his jacket on as rain started pouring down while he sang the first few lines of the song. He then gestured to the crowd to sing the rest of the lyrics, telling them, “Say what?” He could be seen making hand gestures in time with the song and walking across the stage.

As the song continued, Timberlake could be seen singing certain lines here and there while performing simple dance moves as he continued to encourage the audience to sing along. In the final moments of the clip, just before the song hit the chorus, he could be seen walking toward his band and telling the audience to “sing, c’mon.”
Over the video, the fan wrote: “When you pay for a concert but get a mute singer.” He added in the caption: “Dude took a day off on stage…”
Several fans agreed that they felt Timberlake should have sung more during the performance and teased the singer about it. One person jokingly commented, “So, y’all went to karaoke?” Another teased that the song was performed by the “audience ft. Justin Timberlake.”

One commenter also said that they wanted a “refund” for the concert even though “I didn’t even go” — which received over 32K likes. Another said that “it looks like” the former *NSYNC band member “doesn’t even care.”
The viral moment was also replicated online by several fans who posted their own TikToks mimicking Timberlake’s onstage performance in a jacket and shades, similar to what the singer wore. “When you pay money to see the Trolls Singer but he makes you do all the work,” one user wrote over their video.
Timberlake’s reps did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on the performance.

He continued his more than 50-city tour earlier this year, performing at several stops in South America — and even gave a personalized show on the overhead speaker to some fans on a busy plane to Argentina in March.
He is next scheduled to perform in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, according to his website.
