“Everybody wants this” — the opportunity to work with Meryl Streep.
Justin Theroux got to do just that after he was selected to be in the cast for The Devil Wears Prada 2 and recently filmed scenes with Streep, 76.
Speaking with PEOPLE in an exclusive conversation at the season 2 premiere of Fallout in Los Angeles on Dec. 8, the 54-year-old actor revealed what it was like to work with the three-time Oscar winner on the sequel to the 2006 high-fashion classic, The Devil Wears Prada.

“Oh my God. I think she was nervous to work with me, but I tried to…” Theroux began, jokingly, before adding, “No, she was fabulous.”
He continued, “It goes without saying she’s a professional, but after a few minutes of nerves, you immediately realize, ‘Oh, she’s just a really quality actress that I’m getting to work with.’ That was really thrilling.”
In October, The Leftovers alum shared Instagram photos from his time in Italy with wife Nicole Brydon Bloom for filming of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
In the photos, the couple could be seen alongside Theroux’s costars Stanley Tucci, Anne Hathaway, B.J. Novak, Simone Ashley and Emily Blunt.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set for a May 1, 2026, release date.
