NEED TO KNOW
There’s a chance a full Little Mix reunion with Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards could happen in the future.
Nelson, 34, is releasing a Life After Little Mix documentary on Prime Video next week after exiting the “Black Magic” group in December 2020, and she opened up to The Sun in a new interview about the possibility of eventually reuniting with Pinnock, Thirlwall and Edwards.
“We’re all mums now [aside from Thirlwall] and I can’t speak on behalf of them, but I’d like to think that we probably see things a lot differently now,” said Nelson, who shares twin daughters with ex-fiancé Zion Foster. “I think you do, just as you get older anyway, but you know, never say never. I have so much love for them and always will.”

The “Boyz” singer’s departure from the group (which is currently on hiatus) came with some drama, and she previously told the outlet in 2023 that she hadn’t spoken to her Little Mix bandmates in two years.
Nelson further reflected on her time in the “Wings” group ahead of her documentary’s release on Feb. 13. “It’s always been tough when people have asked me questions about Little Mix, but one thing I loved when I made this series was reflecting back on the most incredible times that I had in the group,” she told the outlet.
“It was so lovely to sit and watch all the footage and stuff that people have never even seen of archive footage of me and Little Mix, and it was really nice to be reminded of all the beautiful times that I had with them,” she said. “Not that I’d forgotten about them, but when you’ve been out of it for so long, you do sometimes forget how amazing it was.”
While she’s “obviously been through lots with the girls,” explained Nelson, “the majority of my time in Little Mix was incredible.”
“I’ve never spoken horrendously about Little Mix,” she added, noting that she “had crappy times in terms of my mental health” and other experiences in the band but ultimately feels their time together in Little Mix was “amazing.”
“That’s the reason why Little Mix were so successful because we genuinely were like sisters at one point, we were genuinely best friends,” said Nelson. “It was really lovely to reminisce and talk so positively about my time in the band because I think for quite a while now it’s always felt negative, and so it was nice to really talk about my experience in a positive way with them and reflect back on everything.”
Following Nelson’s exit from Little Mix, the group released one album as a three-piece before announcing a hiatus in 2022. Edwards and Thirlwall have since each released solo albums, while Pinnick is set to release one later this month.
Nelson has released three singles as a solo artist, but she told The Sun her music plans are on hold after recently revealing her 8-month-old twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe were diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), an inherited neuromuscular disorder that weakens and wastes away muscles due to the loss of a specific nerve cell in your spinal cord that controls muscle movement, per the Cleveland Clinic.
“I’m not sure I was ever made for this industry,” she said. “It’s never smooth sailing, you never know what’s going to happen.”
She continued, “With everything that’s going on right now and with my girls, I can’t even look that far ahead, but I’ll always love music.”
