NEED TO KNOW
Jessi Ngatikaura is sharing some tattoo regret.
In a series of Instagram Stories posted on Tuesday, July 15, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 33, opened up about her decision to get seven tattoos removed at once.
“I have a bunch of tattoos that I absolutely hate because I got them when I was really young or just made a stupid decision, and it’s time for me to get them removed,” she explained, adding that she started with removing an ankle tattoo that took over a year to clear.
Noting that she was going into her first session, Jessi shared which tattoos were on the chopping block. The first, and most notable, is a cursive “JZ” in the crook of her arm. The initials stood for Jessi and Zach Gish, referring to the reality star’s first husband, to whom she was married from 2014 to 2019.
“Just a friendly PSA to not tattoo your significant other’s initials (or name your business after them) bc you might end up divorced!! hehe,” she wrote.

Jessi’s hair salon and brand have grown as JZ Styles, the second-half of the name inspired by the reality star’s love of singer Harry Styles.
In further Instagram Stories, Jessi showed what the tattoo looked like after the lasering session, writing, “After lasering it swells, gets white and bumpy and also red!”
Jessi went on to show off other before-and-afters, including a finger tattoo of an arrow going through a heart and the word “fearless” on her foot. She also shared a before-and-after of the elephant tattoo she previously had removed from her ankle.

The next day, Jessi posted an update on the still red and raised, but noticeably fainter, “JZ” tattoo.
Today, Jessi is married to husband Jordan Ngatikaura. The pair have been married since 2020 and have shared their ups and downs in recent years. After season 2 premiered on May 15, Jessi said that they were struggling as a couple.
“We’re trying our best — but things are a little tricky right now. I’m excited to hopefully someday share more about that. But right now it’s just real life and it’s hard,” Jessi said on the May 20 episode of The Viall Files podcast, adding that they are “working through things.”
