Jennifer Lopez wants to clear some things up about JLo Beauty.
In an Instagram video shared to the brand’s account on Sunday, July 20, Lopez appears in her bathroom to react to fan comments, including one asking if she actually uses her own product line.
“I’ve been diving into everything that you guys have been saying about JLo Beauty,” the performer, 55, says, before diving into various comments — and addressing one of the more pointed questions head on.
“Do you use this every day or just when the cameras are on?” a commenter asked before Lopez responded with a laugh, “That’s funny because I’m standing in my actual bathroom right now. No, I use it. I use it every day.”

Elsewhere in the video, a user noted that the star’s moisturizer “feels like silk.” The Unstoppable actress replied by explaining, “We want it to be like cashmere for your face, but make it clinically tested.”
Another comment said that JLo Beauty wasn’t “just another skin care brand,” and that “it actually works.” The singer then quipped, “Yeah, that was the point. You thought, what? I came to play? No.”
Lopez also addressed some of the more critical comments. When one claimed that the products are “too expensive,” she replied, “Listen, I get it.”
“Your skin is something that you have to show up with every single day,” she continued, “So, if there is a little bit of splurge in you, I would say do it on skincare, without a doubt.”

Another fan questioned the legitimacy of celebrity brands, saying, “I tend to think celebrity skincare is not worth the hype.”
“Some of it isn’t,” Lopez said bluntly. “It’s luxury skincare that is clinically tested and trust me, I don’t cut corners.”
JLo Beauty launched with eight products on Jan. 1, 2021. The brand has since updated the collection with new products such as the Beso Balm Lip Mask that was introduced in 2023.
“I think I’ve been thinking about it for about 20 years. Everywhere I went, I felt like everybody was always asking me about my skin. And as I got more mature, the questions came more often,” Lopez says during an appearance on PEOPLE (The Show!).
She added, “It was actually very nice, but I realized that it was almost like an obligation. Like I had to put out a skincare line for everybody who was asking.”
