Jennifer Lopez is kicking off her birthday celebrations with a bang!
The singer and actress, who is in the midst of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour, turned 56 on Thursday, July 24, and marked the occasion by dropping a new song called “Birthday” and dancing to the track in a sexy silver backless dress in front of a huge three-tiered cake.
“Name on top of the cake, it’s my birthday / I’ma make this famous ass shake, it’s my birthday,” she chants on the opening lines of the playful anthem.
Lopez played the timely track as a cake was wheeled out amid a celebration with some of her musicians and dancers from the tour.

In videos that she reshared on her Instagram Stories, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer stood in the middle of a crowd of women holding up champagne bottles as the cake, topped with massive sparklers and the letters J L O, was brought out.
She wore a backless silver dress that sparkled in the videos as she held a drink in her hand and dropped it low for the cheering crowd. Leaving her hair down, she whipped it back and forth amid the impromptu performance.
Lopez was fresh off a July 23 tour stop in Antalya, Turkey amid the celebrations. And while she is taking her birthday off to celebrate, she’s set to be back onstage on July 25 with a performance in Warsaw, Poland.
Between the tour dates, she will celebrate in style by staying the night in a special suite carved out of solid stone in Turkey.
The hitmaker kicked off the tour, her first in six years, with a performance in Galicia, Spain, on July 8. It came more than a year after Lopez decided to cancel her This Is Me… Live tour in May 2024.

In a heartfelt statement at the time, she said that she was “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” adding, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”
Reflecting on the decision during an October 2024 conversation with Interview Magazine, Lopez said that she was “devastated” but that she “just needed to be with my kids and myself and really dig down deep into things that were happening in my life.”
“And I’m glad I did, because it was a really difficult time for me,” she continued. “Probably the hardest time of my life, but it was also the best time because I got to do that work on myself.”
A few months after announcing the tour’s cancellation, Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.

Lopez jokingly addressed her love life during her current tour. While onstage, she appeared to respond to a sign in the crowd that read, “J Lo, marry me.”
“I think I’m done with that,” she said, per a fan’s video shared on X. “I’ve tried that a few times.”
Speaking to Access Hollywood after the 2025 American Music Awards, Lopez reiterated that she wasn’t even ready to date again.
After Tiffany Haddish said that she wanted to go “manhunting” with Lopez, she clarified that it wasn’t happening, saying, “I said, ‘Girl, I’m not looking for no man. I’m happy right now. I’m not trying to ruin it, okay?’ “
