Jennifer Lawrence revealed she and pal Emma Stone are teaming up for a new film about Hollywood’s biggest diva: Miss Piggy.
In her appearance on the podcast Las Culturistas, hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, the Oscar winner, 35, announced the upcoming project.
“I don’t know if I can announce this, but I am going to … Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie and Cole [Escola] is writing it,” the Die My Love star said.
The film, which is in its early stages at Disney, marks the first collaboration for the longtime friends.
When asked if Lawrence and Stone would star in it, Lawrence said, “I think so. We have to… It’s f—ed up [that we haven’t done a movie together].”

Checking off another milestone, this will be Miss Piggy’s first solo feature film. The iconic character, part of the Muppets ensemble, was created in the ‘70s by Bonnie Erickson and Frank Oz. Her first onscreen appearance came in the 1974 film, The Muppet’s Wizard of Oz.
Lawrence’s latest film Die My Love hits theaters this Friday, Nov. 7. The psychological thriller stars Lawrence alongside Robert Pattinson, LaKeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek and Nick Nolte.

“I’m nervous about the people that are going who think it’s like Twilight fan-fic,” Lawrence said. “For those people, I just want to say, ‘Walk, don’t run [to see the movie]. Take your time. It’s poetry.’ ”
The film, directed by Lynn Ramsay, tracks Grace’s (Lawrence) psychological state as she moves to rural Montana from New York City with her husband Jackson (Pattinson). Die My Love is based on the 2017 novel by Ariana Harwicz and co-adapted by Ramsay, Alice Birch and Enda Walsh.
Die My Love is Lawrence’s first time back on the big screen since her 2023 film No Hard Feelings. Lawrence reportedly also has The Wives, a murder mystery inspired by the Real Housewives reality franchise, coming up.
