Jason Kelce sees the positives in Taylor Swift’s romance with his younger brother, Travis Kelce.
The 38-year-old retired NFL star opened up about Swift’s impact on young girls’ relationships to sports during a special bonus episode of his and Travis’ podcast, New Heights, on Monday, Nov. 24.
While interviewing sports journalists Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson, the subject of the “So High School” singer came up several times.
“You just mentioned Taylor and how much she’s gotten girls into the sport and dads and daughters together, which that’s one of the coolest things I get when people talk about Taylor and Travis and hearing from dads or hearing from daughters about that,” Jason shared. “It’s an awesome thing.”
Similarly, Thompson praised “Taylor’s impact” on female viewership in the NFL.
“Those little girls that maybe didn’t have an interest in football and then sit down because it’s her,” Thompson said of Swift. “Like, the commercials and the different little videos that you see that now all of a sudden the dads have a bond with their daughter over her, like, is so special.”

Andrews and Thompson have a longtime history with the Kelce brothers and even played a part in Travis and Swift’s romance.
After the Kansas City Chiefs tight end publicly shot his shot with Swift on New Heights after attending her Kansas City, Mo., Eras Tour show, the two sports broadcasters urged Swift to give the football player a chance.

“Taylor I don’t know what you are doing in your life right now besides rocking the world. Please try our friend Travis. He is fantastic,” Andrews urged Swift in an Aug. 2023 episode of their Calm Down podcast. “Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America,” she added.
Thompson assured Swift, “There’s no one that would give you a better time than this guy.”

And Swift’s impact on sports isn’t the only reason Jason loves his brother’s relationship. Back in September, the father of four opened up about Swift calling his brother a “human exclamation point” during her record-breaking New Heights appearance the month prior.
“The human exclamation point was the best way I’ve ever heard Travis described in my life. I think it’s such an accurate statement. The dude just brings joy to every place he ever is, and people love him. And he makes everything better,” Jason shared after the interview.
He got choked up adding, “To watch them support each other, love each other, and get to this stage, and now to have this together. I’m just… I’m very happy for him.”
