NEED TO KNOW
Jason Bateman and Jude Law have got each other’s backs in Black Rabbit.
The trailer for Netflix’s all-new limited series features Bateman, 56, and Law, 52, as brothers who find themselves caught up in a sticky money situation and have to work together to get out of it.
The trailer opens with Bateman’s character, Vince, confiding in his brother Jake (played by Law) about a costly mistake he’s made, as images of Vince bleeding on the ground are shown.
He tells his brother, “I should’ve f—— told you, I know,” to which Law responds, “You said to my face you’d squared it.”
“I thought I could pay these guys back. Had a sure thing,” Bateman says, as clips show him gambling in a card game and attacking a fellow player after seemingly losing.
“How much do you owe them Vince?,” Law asks him to which he says, “Big number.”

The trailer then cuts to show Law’s character, Jake, and the successful restaurant he’s built, called the Black Rabbit, along with him and his family. It then cuts to show a group of thugs entering the restaurant and threatening Jake as he tells his brother, “I didn’t budget for you.”
Additional clips show Law’s Jake negotiating with thugs on a payment plan of “$20,000 a week” to help pay off his brother’s debt. The thugs let him know that if he’s late on payment even one day, the Black Rabbit will be theirs.
The trailer then cuts to show the brothers in different situations as they work to pay off the thugs, including a shot of Law speeding in a car on a highway and Bateman evading the thugs who are trying to shoot at him. Another clip shows Bateman’s character setting fire to an apartment.

One lighthearted moment in the trailer highlighted the bond between the two brothers as Law’s character jokes about Bateman’s character selling his shoes on a bus. Bateman tells him: “I’m f—— chipping away at [the best]. I’m doing my f—— part, Giggles.”
