NEED TO KNOW
Counting On’s Jana and John-David Duggar are adding little ones to their families.
In a YouTube video titled “Twins Gender Reveal” uploaded on Wednesday, Nov. 5, Jana, 35, revealed that she is expecting her first baby, a boy, with husband Stephen Wissmann. John-David, who’s welcoming baby no. 3 with his wife Abbie Duggar, is expecting a girl.
The fraternal twins’ celebratory video began as Jana revealed that it was Stephen’s “birthday wish” to learn the sex of their baby, so the couple heads to the doctor to learn the big news.
Sitting in the car before the sonogram, Jana and Stephen shared their guesses of what the baby’s sex might be. Stephen said that he’s “kinda been leaning boy, but I think that’s just bias,” and stressed that he would also “love a girl.”
“I would love a daughter, that would be so cute,” he explained. Meanwhile, Jana shared that she’s been “thinking girl.”
Jana also offered a look into what would become the baby’s room as the couple moved all the furniture from the room to make way for new carpet. Once the carpet work was completed, Jana showed off the space’s modern furniture and shared plans to paint the space and find the right furniture for her new arrival.
At the sex reveal party, Jana says that she thinks that both she and Abbie Duggar, wife of Jana’s twin brother John-David, are having girls. This is Jana and Stephen’s first child, and baby no. 3 for Abbie and John-David.

The family gave their guesses for what the two babies will be before the couples posed in front of a balloon-decorated backdrop with “He or She?” written in glittery gold letters as giant clouds of colorful dust revealed that Abbie and John-David are expecting a girl, and Jana and Stephen are expecting a boy.
Following the big reveal, Abbie and John-David could be seen posing for a photo with the twins’ parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
Jana and Stephen also FaceTimed siblings Johannah and Jennifer, who were out of town for the party, to tell them the news.
In August, Jana first revealed that she’s pregnant and expecting her first baby with her husband with a post on Instagram. The couple’s happy news comes almost exactly a year after they got married.
Jana, who is the oldest Duggar daughter, and Wissmann could be seen kissing in one photo and showing off Jana’s growing bump in another.
“We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family!” they wrote in their caption. “We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!”
Last August, Jana married Wissmann in Prairie Grove, Ark., in a “classic, elegant” ceremony.
The pair, who got engaged on June 15, 2024, exchanged traditional vows at The Grand at Willow Springs in front of 500 guests. Jessa Duggar Seewald served as the bride’s maid of honor, while her sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar, and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo and Jordyn Duggar were bridesmaids.
“I think it is one of those things that all girls envision someday,” Jana told PEOPLE of her wedding just two days before the celebration.
“For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this truly is something that I’ve dreamed of.’ And just to see it coming about is incredible and kind of hard to believe. It’s a dream come true.”

A few weeks after Jana revealed her exciting news, on Wednesday, Sept. 3, John-David and his wife announced that they are expecting their third baby together on Instagram. “We’ve been keeping a little secret … 🤭🤗 Baby #3 arriving early 2026!!!” they wrote in their joint caption.
The photos show the couple’s two older kids — son Charlie, 2, and daughter Grace, 5 — holding up balloon numbers of 1 and 2, while Abbie is pictured holding a series of sonogram images and the balloon number 3.
A second shot shows the family of four standing together while John-David helps Abbie hold her balloon.
