Jackée Harry didn’t think she’d be where she is now at age 69, but she wouldn’t change a thing.
The actress celebrated her 69th birthday on Thursday, Aug. 14, by sharing an Instagram photo of herself next to a reflective message about her special day.
“69 and still fine! ✨ I thought I’d be in San Diego by now – retired, cocktail in hand, cabana boy on call. But child… I’m still here, still laughing, still blessed to do what I love and call it work. Now THAT’S the real happy hour. Thanks for all the birthday wishes and continued support! Luv ya much!!! 💖,” Harry wrote.

In the comment section, some of her famous friends chimed in to send her some well wishes.

PEOPLE caught up with the actress in February 2024, when she expressed that she was still dating and hoping to find love.
After going viral for her candid remarks on the challenges of dating, describing it as “horrible,” she said things had gotten better “a little bit!”

“I’m learning to put my personal happiness in front of my career. That’s the most important thing that’s happened to me,” she said at the time. “That’s my advice to young people, your personal happiness is important; put it ahead of your career, if you can. But if I had to do it again, I would still do it the same.”
