Inside the Love Lives of the ‘Chicago P.D.’ Cast

Jason Beghe

Beghe has portrayed Sergeant Hank Voight on Chicago P.D. since the show’s start.

In the show, Beghe’s character was married to a woman named Camille, though she died before the show’s timeline. Hank remained single throughout the series but has had brief moments of chemistry with other characters, including with Nina Chapman (Sara Bues) in season 11.

Away from the cameras, Beghe was previously married to fellow actress Angie Janu. They wed in 2000 and split after 17 years of marriage. The former couple are parents to two sons: Bix and Bo Bear.

Patrick John Flueger and Reem Amara

Flueger starred as Adam Ruzek on the procedural drama from the first season until his season 14 hiatus. In the midst of filming the next season, PEOPLE confirmed that Flueger took a leave of absence for a personal matter.

In the show, he’s had several love interests, including his on-and-off-again relationship with Burgess. The fictional pair broke up several times and co-parented their daughter, Mikayla, before reuniting in season 10 and getting engaged in season 11.

In real life, Flueger has been dating model and actress Reem Amara. He first posted about her on social media in April 2019 and has featured Amara in several posts throughout the years, including a June 2023 selfie of the couple in front of Stonehenge.

In February 2020, Amara had a brief cameo in Chicago P.D. during season 7, episode 14, per NBC. Flueger joked about the moment on Instagram at the time, sharing a snap of Amara on TV.

“Does anybody know who played the hot nurse on last nights episode of @nbcchicagopd,” he wrote. “I need to know. Cause I’m pretty sure I need to take her out on a date.”

Marina Squerciati and Eli Kay-Oliphant

Squerciati is one of Chicago P.D.’s original stars, with her role as Burgess dating back to season 1.

Her rocky relationship with Flueger’s character, Adam, has fans shipping “Bruzek,” despite having several other relationships during their time apart.

Outside of the show, Squerciati is married to Eli Kay-Oliphant. The couple tend to keep their relationship private and have not divulged many details about their marriage or family.

They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2017, but haven’t publicly shared her name. Squerciati and Kay-Oliphant also welcomed their second child together in 2024.

LaRoyce Hawkins

Hawkins has portrayed Atwater throughout the show’s entire run. On-screen, his character has had a few love interests, including a brief relationship and a fling.

In real life, Hawkins tends to keep his personal life private, but doesn’t appear to be in a relationship. The actor is a father to a son, Roman, who was born in April 2017.

In an August 2023 interview with Essence, Hawkins opened up about lessons in parenthood, explaining, “Fatherhood has really taught me a couple things – more than a couple of things, but one of the things that I’ve been really taking pride in recently is my patience, just being patient with the small things too.”

Amy Morton and Rob Milburn

Morton has had a long-time role on Chicago P.D. as Trudy Platt. In the show, her character is married to firefighter Randall McHolland (Christian Stolte), who appears on Chicago Fire.

Morton has been married to her husband, Rob Milburn, since 1997, per the Chicago Tribune. Speaking to the publication in 2000, Morton shared that although she didn’t have the best first impression of him, he showed up for her during a difficult time.

“I’ve known Rob for 20 years. At first … he was so arrogant,” she recalled. “But we worked a lot together over the years and after my parents died really close together about five years ago, Rob was there for me.”

Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos

Soffer and Spiridakos both star in Chicago P.D. as Jay Halstead and Hailey Upton, respectively.

In the series, Soffer and Spiridakos’ characters were married, but Jay and Hailey were divorced by the start of season 11.

There is a possibility that their romance has traveled off-screen. It’s rumored that Soffer and Spiridakos are dating in real life, though neither has confirmed their relationship.

Fans have speculated that they are more than just co-workers, as they often post about each other on social media and have vacationed together, including an August 2024 trip to Europe.

More recently, Soffer posted a birthday post dedicated to Spiridakos in February 2025, wishing a “very happy birthday to this cute one.” Then, in August, the actor posted several photos with Spiridakos captioned, “Summer catch up.”

Jon Seda and Lisa Gomez

Seda starred as Antonio Dawson in the procedural drama from season 1 through season 6.

During the series, Antonio dated Sylvie Brett Casey (Kara Killmer) from Chicago Fire and was married to Laura Dawson (America Olivo), with whom he shared two children: Diego and Eva.

In real life, Seda is married to his wife, Lisa Gomez. She celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on social media on July 4, 2020.

Two years prior, the actor expressed that there was “no one I trust, respect, admire, or rely on” more than his wife.

The couple are also parents to four children: daughters Jessy, Haley and Madison and son Jonathan.

Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris

Bush starred as Detective Erin Lindsay on Chicago P.D. for four seasons before departing the show in 2017. Her character formerly dated Jay on the show, as well as firefighter Kelly Severide from Chicago Fire, portrayed by Taylor Kinney.

Off-screen, Bush has been dating former soccer star Ashlyn Harris since the fall of 2023. They initially met in 2019 and connected on a deeper level after they both went through divorces in 2023.

They’ve made public appearances throughout their relationship, including a March 2024 Oscars viewing party and the 2024 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Reflecting on their first date, which lasted over four hours, Bush told Glamour in April 2024, “I do know that for a sparkly moment I felt like maybe the universe had been conspiring for me. And that feeling that I have in my bones is one I’ll hold on to no matter where things go from here.”
