Two vacationing influencers were startled out of the sea when an unexpected visitor swam up behind them.
On Thursday, July 29, TikToker Aleks Jevtic posted a video from a group trip to Greece showing two women enjoying blissful, blue Mediterranean waters. In the background of the clip, a boar can be seen paddling along toward the swimmers, who started rushing toward the boat upon realizing they had unexpected company.
Subtitled captions on the video capture an onlooker’s warning to the duo: “You have to go out it’s not safe out here.”

The boar picked up some speed and neared the women in the water, prompting someone behind the camera to call out to her friends. “Oh my god, guys. It’s actually close to you,” one of the vacationers said from the safety of their boat.
The video then zoomed in on the swimming swine, which was largely submerged saved for its ears, eyes and snout.
“Getting chased by a pig in the middle of Greece hits different,” Jevtic wrote over the video. In the post’s caption, she added of the animal, “She was so cute from a distance.”

The video has reached over 4 million views so far, with several people applauding the boar’s swimming skills. Others noted that such a sight isn’t completely uncommon in Greece.
“We don’t have sharks, we have wild boars in the Mediterranean!” reads an English translation of one TikToker’s comment posted in Greek. Another person recalled a more intentional encounter, writing, “And I paid 80€ just to be able to swim with them on Atokos Island.”
