NEED TO KNOW
Lizzie Kieffer has welcomed baby no. 3!
The Missouri-based influencer announced the news on Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 14, sharing a sweet snap of the little one on her Stories with the caption, “Hello World ✨.”
Kieffer previously shared that she was growing her family with husband Matt with a post on Instagram in March. The pair also share an older daughter Mia.
The mom, who maintains a following of over 362,000 followers on Instagram, uses her background as a physical therapist to teach women about health. In the leadup to childbirth, she shared exercise suggestions for pregnancy in addition to updates about her family and comedic skits.
Earlier this year, Kieffer shared the tragic news that her 12-month-old daughter had died in a heartbreaking post on Instagram.
“We are shattered,” Kieffer wrote on April 26. “Wednesday we woke up to a nightmare that we never imagined becoming our reality. Our Lily passed away.”

Though she noted that she and her husband did not have much information about Lily’s death at the time, she said that doctors discovered a “large mass on her brain that we could have never known about.”
“We will never fully understand this mystery until we see her again one day. What we do know is God is faithful and brings light to the darkest of places,” wrote Kieffer in the post. “And we know Lily is being held so tight by Jesus and loved ones in heaven. And probably playing in her ball pit or riding in her little red car up there. We feel her.”

After sharing the initial news about her daughter’s death in April, the content creator has stayed relatively quiet about it on her social media platforms, speaking out only a couple of times about the tragedy.
In May, she posted a “thank you” to her followers for their “overwhelming support” as her family navigated the weeks after their daughter’s death: “We know it’s not expected in a time like this, but a big part of us feels the desire to just say – thank you and we feel it all.”

“It’s the strength only Jesus can stir up inside you, even in the mustard seed moments and through the questions of why and for what,” she added on Instagram, saying that she and her family had leaned on their family, friends and faith for guidance during the difficult time. “It’s the strength that comes from family and friends. Swooping in wrapping us in embraces, in filling space, in just doing without hesitation or question things we didn’t even know we needed. The strength from our Mia has been our light through this all.”
Several weeks ago, Kieffer continued to open up about the tragedy, sharing more about the “drastic dichotomy” she felt between mourning the death of her daughter and preparing to welcome another one.
“The two ebb and flow, and sometimes show up massively at the same time,” wrote Kieffer about her dual emotions. “A feeling, or rather a state of being so hard to describe in and of itself, but even more complex with pregnancy.”

“Things process at different times and some days it feels like it was yesterday, but also too long… how have I not held you in 4 months..?” she continued. “Experiencing my babies in three vastly different places has undoubtedly changed me, changed our family…but it also has shown me that heaven really isn’t that far away.”
The content creator added: “Whatever you’re going through – experience it. Allow the hurt, the ache. But don’t forget the incredible good still around you. And when those days that feel impossible hit, just remember: At the end of you, that’s where He is. Let Him carry you. 🤍.”
