NEED TO KNOW
Another winner of Perfect Match has officially been crowned!
On Friday, Aug. 15, season 3 of the Netflix hit finally came to a close, revealing who won the coveted title after weeks of love connections, steamy dates, dramatic turns and wild compatibility challenges.
Out of the 22 participants, only five couples made it to the finale: Amber Desiree “AD” Smith (Love Is Blind) and Ollie Sutherland (Love Is Blind: UK), Sandy Gallagher (The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On) and Louis Russell (Too Hot to Handle), Lucy Syed (Too Hot to Handle) and Daniel Perfetto (Dated & Related), Freddie Powell (Love Is Blind: UK) and Madison Errichiello (Love Is Blind), and Rachel Recchia (The Bachelor/The Bachelorette) and Ray Gantt (Love Island).
Before the finale, Siesta Key star Juliette Porter asked Love Island alum Scott Van-Der-Sluis to match up, despite going on a date with his fellow Love Island alum Carrington Rodriguez right before. However, when Scott learned that Juliette said he was too young for her and not her “perfect match” behind his back, he called her out and stormed out of the villa, leaving Juliette alone.
Below, PEOPLE breaks down who won Perfect Match season 3 and what unfolded in the finale.

Juliette and Scott came face-to-face after their explosive breakup in the villa.
When host Nick Lachey asked what went wrong between the two, Scott called Juliette out for saying he was “too young” and not her “perfect match” behind his back while she was on a date with Carrington.
Meanwhile, Juliette insisted she was not wrong and simply claimed Scott got mad when she walked into the villa holding hands with Carrington. She also argued that Scott would get “roasted” when fans watch this unfold.
“F—— grow up. Jesus Christ, you’re a 27-year-old woman,” he shouted, as she hit back, “You’re a child!”
When Carrington came to Scott’s defense, Juliette yelled that Carrington was just “salty” she didn’t pick him to match up with.

Each of the couples then gave updates on where they currently stand, beginning with Rachel and Ray.
Rachel and Ray met later in the competition, but Rachel said they “connected right off the bat” and had a lot of similar interests and thoughts.
Ray echoed her sentiments and said he found someone who is “a friend first” because “friends make the best love.”
“I’m sitting here fully choosing him so I feel like I have found my perfect match,” Rachel added.

Sandy and Louis went next, providing Nick with an update on their relationship.
Sandy and Louis had been together since day 1, and as Nick put it, they were one “of the more tested couples.” Sandy insisted they’ve “chosen each other day after day here” despite exploring other options and connections.
Louie agreed and said they build their relationship on honesty. “We went through challenges and came out even stronger,” he said. “I found my perfect match in this experience.”
Louie also confirmed he’s moving to Los Angeles and he “might” move in with Sandy.

For Lucy and Daniel, despite dealing with jealousy issues throughout their experience, they were confident about their connection.
However, others questioned Daniel’s intentions because he flirted with other women during the boys’ day away from the villa, despite being paired with Lucy from the near start.
“Hurting her is the last thing I wanna do and that’s what I did,” Daniel admitted. “With her, I actually wanna try to be a man and step forward… I can confidently say we are in a much better place than we were before that.”
Lucy said he’s “100% my perfect match” as she detailed the ways they plan to make their long-distance, cross-continent relationship work.

Madison and Freddie followed, confirming that they were blissfully together since the day they met.
Though Freddie was temporarily removed from the villa at one point to test their connection, the two didn’t face much drama otherwise along their journey.
“I saw Freddie and game over. He truly is such a green flag… he makes me such a softer, kinder person,” Madison said, later adding, “I have felt like a winner since I’ve met Freddie and I have absolutely found my perfect match in Freddie.”
Freddie also noted that he “felt blessed to find someone as special as her,” and emphasized, “This isn’t the end of our book, it’s just the end of chapter one.”

AD and Ollie were last, as they reflected on their experience and spoke about overcoming the challenges they faced.
In particular, Ollie confirmed that he had no feelings for Love Island’s Justine Joy despite flirting with her earlier in the show and apologized for disrespecting AD along the way.
“We’re moving past it,” AD insisted of her connection with Ollie, which formed on the very first day in the villa. “We’re making steps on how we can rebuild that trust… you really are my person.”
“Everything that’s been thrown at us and gave us maybe a step back, we then took three steps forward. I love being around her.. I’m genuinely excited to see what happens next,” Ollie said.

Before the final vote, a compatibility challenge narrowed things down.
After the full cast returned for the finale, Nick revealed that the remaining couples would have to participate in a compability challenge to determine the top two couples moving forward in the finale.
The “Match Point” challenge consisted of Nick asking the couples a series of questions, including what each other’s birthdays were, where they had their first kiss, and what flaw the men have that the women could “live with.” Each couple was required to have matching answers. However, if they missed one question, they were immediately eliminated from the competition until the final two couples were left standing.
In the end, AD and Ollie and Lucy and Daniel were the winning two couples and they moved forward to the final voting phase.

The final vote from the cast determined the season 3 winner.
After each person went into the board room to cast their vote, Nick announced that Lucy and Daniel had won the competition.
The pair were shocked by the news and immediately shared a kiss. “We just won Perfect Match! We did! Us!” Lucy exclaimed after the big moment.
With the win, Lucy and Daniel took home the title of “Perfect Match” and were gifted an all-expenses-paid seven-day vacation to a destination of their choice to continue building their relationship outside of the villa.
Lucy said they were planning to go to Fiji for their trip, as Daniel said he was “incredibly happy” with the results.
However, it was revealed that weeks later, Lucy and Daniel broke up. Lucy has since told PEOPLE that she and Daniel went to Cancun “straight after filming” but they quickly realized it wouldn’t work out.
“I think it was just apparent. It’s so different as soon as you get out and we never said definitely that it would 100% work,” she explained. “I think when we were in there we wanted it to work, but we were like, ‘We just have to see.’ And then yeah, we went back to each other’s countries and it just didn’t work. And I didn’t think it was right to go on a holiday.”
Though they didn’t win the show, AD and Ollie big won in other ways.
In the final moments of the finale, fans got a glimpse of the sweet proposal that Ollie surprised AD with on the beach six months after filming wrapped on Perfect Match season 3. The moment was first shown during Love Is Blind’s season 8 reunion in March.
Three months later, AD and Ollie announced that they were expecting their first child: a baby girl.
As for the other couples, PEOPLE has since confirmed that they’ve all gone their separate ways.
Sandy tells PEOPLE that she and Louis took a vacation after the show, but were on the same page about not wanting to take things further.
“Him and I just had a very open, transparent relationship. We never gave each other false expectations, like, ‘Okay, we’re going to fully date after this,’ but we were just really grateful and appreciative for the time that we had together and the relationship and connection that we built,” she shares. “And we kind of left it at that. We came back to the real world and went our separate ways romantically, but we’re still friends and everything’s good.”
Adds Louis: “We were talking for a little bit, but then it just died out due to the fact of how my life works, and it just didn’t seem right to carry on.”
Rachel and Ray split, with the Bachelorette alum admitting their connection came “late in the game” and didn’t give them enough time to develop true feelings. “If we were there at the beginning, it could have been a different story, but I think we definitely had a solid friendship and we took that out of the villa and we’ve been friends since,” she says. “I don’t know if the romantic spark was necessarily there with us.”
As for Madison and Freddie, they split within a month after cameras stopped rolling.
“We stayed in contact. I flew back to Manchester a couple of days after, and stayed in contact for a duration of time,” Freddie explains. “I was open to see where it went. I think it became apparent that for me, due to various things, it just wasn’t the right thing to do. And given the fact we live so far away and other reasons, I just felt it was best to nip it in the bud, so to speak, and just try and maintain a friendship, but not on a romantic capacity.”
