Gracie Abrams Sings ‘Friday I’m in Love’ on Paul Mescal’s Shoulders During Glastonbury

Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal are kicking off the summer with music and friends.

The Grammy-nominated artist shared a video on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, June 29, from Glastonbury singing to The Cure’s “Friday I’m In Love,” which Olivia Rodrigo performed and brought out Robert Smith onstage for the music festival.

“I don’t care if Monday’s blue/Tuesday’s grey and Wednesday too/Thursday, I don’t care about you/It’s Friday, I’m in love,” Abrams, 25, belted from on top of Mescal’s shoulders.

Abrams wore a white shirt, bandana and sunglasses, while Mescal, 29, opted for a baseball cap and sunglasses.

Abrams made her debut at Glastonbury this year. She performed “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” “That’s So True,” and “Close to You,” along with a cover of The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven.”

“Glastonbury just thank you so much. I will never ever stop pinching myself that we got to do this,” she wrote on Instagram on June 29 following her set.

The “Blowing Smoke” singer was also featured as the “Apple” girl during Charli xcx’s set at the music festival. Mescal’s Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones and her boyfriend Ben Seed also took part in the weekend’s activities.

Abrams and Mescal were first romantically linked in June 2024 when they were spotted out together in London, along with other instances throughout the summer.

A source told PEOPLE that August they had been “hooking up” and their relationship was in “early stages. They also attended the All Points East music festival in London together that month — also joined by Edgar-Jones, 27, and her boyfriend.

In October, Mescal alluded to keeping his love life private in an interview with GQ. He said he “learned that there’s certain lines in the sand now for me that just are going to be impenetrable for the benefit of my own sanity.”

“The speculation has been kind of mad for the last x amount of years,” added Mescal at the time. “I’m not comfortable inviting any access into that part of my life.”

In October, Mescal supported Abrams during her Radio City Music Hall concert in New York.

That November, Mescal brought Abrams as his date to the Gladiator II premiere and reportedly appeared very affectionate.

A source told PEOPLE in April about how, despite Abrams and Mescal’s busy schedules, they prioritize each other. “Last month, Gracie showed her support for Paul by attending a performance of A Streetcar Named Desire in Brooklyn,” the source said at the time.

“Despite their busy schedules, the couple is making each other a priority,” added the source. “There’s no denying the strong chemistry between Paul and Gracie, true lovebirds.”
