This morning, I was forced to break into my outerwear collection for the first time this season, and all I could think about was how badly it could use an upgrade. 

As a celebrity-obsessed shopping writer, I immediately turned to some of my favorite A-listers for some helpful outerwear inspiration. My findings? Long coats are out and short coats are in — well, according to Anne Hathaway, Demi Moore, and Reese Witherspoon, at least.
