Georgi Is Fearful of Introducing Darcey to His Parents (Exclusive)

Darcey and Georgi are back on 90 Day Fiancé — and they’re marking two big milestones together.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at the season 9 premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Georgi avoids saying Darcey’s age as they toast to her 50th birthday during a romantic dinner.

“It’s my birthday!” Darcey exclaims, as she and Georgi clink their glasses together.

“Happy birthday to my beautiful wife, for your birthday,” Georgi replies, pausing briefly before finishing his sentence. “I don’t want to say the age.”

When Georgi hesitates to acknowledge that Darcey is turning 50, she quickly calls him out.

“Are you scared to say my age?” she asks, adding, “It’s okay, I’m 50!”

But Georgi denies that he is afraid to mention Darcey’s age. Instead he tries to play along, noting that his wife is now “halfway there from the 100s.”

Darcey gives Georgi a blank stare, pausing before giggling. “Hopefully I last to 100!” she quips.

In a joint confessional, Darcey exclaims, “I’m aging like fine wine!” after Georgi asks her, “How do you feel being 50?”

Darcey then asks Georgi, playfully, “Do you want to take a sip?”

The couple’s upcoming trip to Bulgaria is also top of mind for Georgi.

Back at dinner, Darcey and Georgi clink glasses once more before saying “cheers” in English, and “nazdrave” in Bulgarian. The word “nazdrave,” according to Georgi, is a “very important word in Bulgaria.”

“We need to start learning Bulgarian,” Georgi says, noting that he and Darcey will be visiting his home country “soon.”

But Georgi seems apprehensive about their upcoming visit. “I don’t know how I feel about it. Going back there,” he explains. “Definitely I miss my family. I haven’t seen them in a long time.”

Georgi then confesses he has not introduced anyone to his parents, telling Darcey, “You’re the first woman that I’m going to bring home. That’s a big thing.”

“That’s huge!” Darcey replies, which Georgi echoes.

In a confessional, Georgi admits he is “kind of nervous” to go back home.

It’s been 13 years since he has been home, and his parents have never met Darcey in person. He just hopes they will be accepting of her.

“I’ve never met with my parents with any of my exes, or with [a] woman,” he explains. “So I don’t know what to expect. I just want them to accept her and everything to go perfect.”
