NEED TO KNOW
Gavin Casalegno shocked fans when he hard-launched his relationship with his wife, Cheyanne King Casalegno, in November 2024. Now, she’s “finally” ready to share some details.
A year after The Summer I Turned Pretty star, 26, surprised his Instagram followers with news of his marriage, Cheyanne decided to share a never-before-seen glimpse into their “private” love in a series she calls “wedding archives.” But first, she explained a bit about why the couple decided to keep things under wraps for so long — which she says was “one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.”
“I’m finally talking about something that is really important to me. My husband and I had a secret wedding. We are coming up on a year since we hard-launched everything. I feel like it’s finally time to talk about it,” Cheyanne, a registered nurse, told her followers on Instagram in a Nov. 7 video.
“For starters, our wedding was truly everything we wanted and more. I’m actually so thankful for the way that we went about it. I wouldn’t change a thing,” she said, adding that her actor husband “has lived so much of his life in front of an audience, which obviously can come with a lot of opinions.”
As they planned to say “I do,” Cheyanne said, the couple “just knew we wanted to keep it private, just to eliminate any outside opinions, and so we could just experience all that these seasons of life have to offer, which definitely came with a little bit of a price.”
It was no small feat either, she said. “Keeping all of this a secret was definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do,” Cheyanne admitted. “What I didn’t realize was how nosy people could be. Like I said, it definitely came with a price.”
Part of the “price,” she explained, was taking off her engagement ring whenever she left the house. Maintaining secrecy “really took a whole village,” the influencer said, adding, “I can’t believe we pulled all of it off, honestly.”
Now that she has “officially been a Casalegno for a whole year,” Cheyanne said she is ready to pull back the curtain on the couple’s relationship a bit with her “wedding archives” series. “I have so much to share with you guys, just waiting until the timing felt right. Y’all are officially about to get all caught up,” she said. “I believe it will all be well worth the wait.”

Cheyanne kicked off the series by sharing a glimpse into the couple’s engagement, posting photos of the moment The Summer I Turned Pretty actor got down on one knee. She shared a carousel snaps of the outdoor proposal on Nov. 8, including one shot of the actor sweeping her off of her feet after popping the question.
Gavin also reposted the engagement shots on Instagram Stories, where he added, “Sweetheart,” and Kina Grannis’ cover of “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”
After sharing the pictures of “the day I said yes to being a Casalegno,” Cheyanne also shared footage from the “night I said yes,” which included the couple celebrating at home with some of Cheyanne’s best friends.
In the video, which Cheyanne also shared on Nov. 8, she and Gavin smeared frosting from a cake on each other’s faces, smiling and laughing as loved ones filmed the moment. They also shared a kiss, icing still adorning their noses.

Not much is known about the early days of Gavin and Cheyanne’s romance, including how and when they met, but Cheyanne began soft-launching their relationship in May 2023. They later announced their marriage on Nov. 12, 2024, with a carousel of pictures of the couple at the altar.
“FOREVER CAPTIVATED BY YOU🕊️,” Gavin captioned the post.

Months later, the actor opened up about his decision to keep their relationship private.
“I’ve done the opposite [before] where it was more public and weighed the pros and cons,” he said in an April 2025 interview with Page Six. “I think your personal life and your work life should be separate. That’s just really something I took to heart.”
“We really want to grow in private and not in the public eye,” he added, “because sometimes when you’re in the public eye, you can’t get out of it. So why not just make the most of it and deepen that relationship rather than let the public have their opinions?”
