NEED TO KNOW
G Flip and Chrishell Stause have a good reason for tying the knot multiple times!
In an interview with PEOPLE, the Australian musician (who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns) reveals why they and the Selling Sunset star, 44, decided to have multiple weddings since the couple announced they were married in May 2023.
According to G Flip, 31, the tradition began because the pair’s first wedding “was so shotgun that my family got three hours’ notice.” Since that wasn’t enough time for family and some friends to fly to the U.S., they said they would do a second wedding.

“Then we did another one, but then my family couldn’t make it, and they were like, ‘Well, will you do an Australian one?’ And then I was like, ‘Yep, we’ll do an Australian one,'” they say.
Adds G Flip: “So we did three in a row, and then we were like, ‘We may as well just do this every year and make it a tradition.'”
Now, their weddings have become themed — as evidenced by their Medieval wedding at a castle in July.
G Flip claims it was a “complete joke” that became “serious.”
“For some reason, it was like, ‘Imagine doing a Medieval wedding.’ And then it was like, ‘Oh my God, that’d be so funny. We could get swordsmen. A flute player,'” they say.
G Flip claims it “went too far.” “Then, we went on Airbnb, and there was a castle available, and we were like, ‘Okay, let’s get a little castle — a big castle —and do it,” they recall.

Luckily, they plan their weddings only a week in advance, so it doesn’t become too stressful. Plus, the guest list for the nuptials only has 10 to 15 people each time, with each year featuring a new set of guests.
“So, now I think we’ve just continued the tradition of renewing our vows every July, but I think now the scale is going to get crazy because now Chrishell’s like, ‘I want to do an emo wedding next year,'” says G Flip.
They add: “I’m like, ‘Yes, let’s get some gothic cathedral. Get a pop-punk band that plays.”
G Flip and Stause initially met in October 2021.
By May 2022, the actress and real estate agent confirmed her relationship with the “Big Ol’ Hammer” artist during Selling Sunset’s season 5 reunion.
The couple revealed they were married in May 2023 and wed during an intimate Las Vegas ceremony that was officiated by an Elvis impersonator.
