Tara and Hunter Fieri spent their first days as a married couple in paradise.
The chef and son of Guy Fieri and his new wife, a professional pickleball player, spoke to PEOPLE exclusively about their dreamy tropical mini-moon: after the pair wed at the Fieri family ranch in California, they headed to Sandals Resort in St. Vincent for a stay packed with “unforgettable” experiences.
The couple tells PEOPLE their mini-moon was “truly a luxury experience and a pickleball paradise.” They even played pickleball with the resort’s general manager and team!
“From the stunning views to the incredible butler service, every detail was unforgettable,” Tara and Hunter tell PEOPLE.
“One of our favorite parts was the food,” the couple continues. “We tried almost every dish at Sora, the Italian restaurant — definitely a favorite! — and the chef even made us gluten-free pancakes every morning for breakfast.”
Also during the trip, the couple shared that they went sightseeing and visited a stunning waterfall. St. Vincent itself is a “hidden gem,” the couple says, and they really enjoyed learning about the island’s culture and history — so much that they’re already thinking about returning to host a “pickleball x food event” there in the future.

“This trip was pure paradise from start to finish,” the newlyweds said.
Hunter and Tara wed at the Fieri’s ranch, HuntRyde Ranch in Sonoma, California, on Aug. 30, PEOPLE reported at the time. The wedding — which hosted 350 guests — boasted an “upscale country” aesthetic throughout, and elegantly merged elements of the couple’s passions: food and pickleball.
“It’s controlled chaos over here,” Hunter told PEOPLE at the time.

The celebration kicked off on Aug. 29 with the couple’s “Denim & Diamonds” welcome party, which featured a wholesome montage of photos and videos from Tara and Hunter’s relationship. Chef Lorena Garcia prepared a family-style feast of Mexican food, plus some Venezuelan fried hot doughnuts — a nod to Garcia’s heritage. Instead of signing a guest book, attendees left their mark on a YETI cooler.
The following day, the wedding was anything but ordinary: Hunter and Tara hosted a “little petting zoo” for their big day, with goats, peacocks, dogs and two miniature donkeys — Burrito and Taquito.

Hunter and Tara tied the knot on the island at the center of the ranch’s pond, in front of a large willow tree. Tara walked down the aisle — a wooden bridge to the island, lined with flowers — alongside her father, Joel, and the wedding couple exchanged handwritten vows as they tied the knot.
The reception afterwards featured pickleball details — mini Franklin pickleball paddles as table numbers — and an “elevated” yet “approachable” Italian menu by Chef Cesar Orozco, Chef Lorena Garcia, Chef Antonia Lofaso, and Chef Aaron May.
“We’re so different, but that’s what makes us also similar in the same way,” Tara told PEOPLE at the time. “We have a lot of similar qualities, and I would say it really is a dream come true to meet your best friend and be able to live your life the way that you feel free at the same time.”
