The movie is filmed across 17 locations in Hershey’s home state of Pennsylvania, including Pittsburgh, Hershey, Harmony, Smithfield and Ligonier, with each playing their unique role in the legacy and world-building of the Hershey empire, along with over 1,500 background actors and over 2,000 background costumes.
“As we wrap, I feel most grateful to the people of Pennsylvania, who have supported us and actively participated in making this shoot a success,” said Waters.

Alongside its leading actors, the star-studded cast will also include Alan Ruck, David Costabile, Daniel David Stewart, Dina Spybey-Waters, Francesca Faridany, Heléne Yorke, Michael Moreland Milligan and Richard Waters.
“I feel immense pride in what we’ve been able to do here, particularly in the fully committed performances of Finn Wittrock and Alexandra Daddario, who have given their hearts and souls to portray two figures whose legacy still resonates today,” revealed Waters in the relase.
Viewers will get a glimpse into nearly five decades of Milton’s life, from the early 1870s through the late 1910s, and get an in-depth look into how the legacy empire came to be. Viewers will also receive a cinematic explainer on Milton’s dedication to children’s education and cultural programs, the creation of world-class products and experiences and his many philanthropic investments.
Fashion lovers will also get a look at Daddario’s 54 custom-designed costumes, which will reflect Kitty’s appreciation for fashion and personal journey over time.
Hershey is set to release in 2026, in accordance with the 250th anniversary of the United States.
