NEED TO KNOW
The couple announced the news via Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 24
Finneas O’Connell and his longtime love Claudia Sulewski are engaged!
The 28-year-old singer-producer, who creates music under the name FINNEAS, just popped the question to Sulewski, 29, after seven years of dating.
The couple announced on Wednesday, Sept. 24, that they got engaged on Monday, Sept. 22. “forever and ever 9.22,” their Instagram caption read.
The social media post included several snaps from the romantic sunset proposal, plus a video of the couple in a helicopter heading to the proposal site. Sulewski also shared a few photos of her stunning new cushion-cut diamond engagement ring.
The Grammy-winning artist — who is also Billie Eilish’s brother and frequent collaborator — first met Sulewski, a YouTuber and actress, on a dating app in 2018, and she quickly became his muse.

In 2019, O’Connell told BuzzFeed that he wrote the song “Claudia” within hours of meeting his now-fiancée — and sent her parts of the song that night.
And, through lyrics like, “I think you’re gonna change my plans / With those emerald eyes / But you don’t even understand / How much they’re on my mind,” it seems like the musician was already hearing wedding bells.
Since they began dating, the couple has also collaborated creatively. In 2022, Sulewski was once again O’Connell’s muse, this time for his song “Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa,” whose intimate, phone-recorded music video she starred in and directed.
Speaking about the visual — which follows the couple in Paris as they kiss, cuddle and pose together — with Vogue, Sulewski said, “It’s a gushy video, for sure!”

“We’re pretty deep in it at this point — we’ve been dating for almost four years, so I think the cat’s out of the bag,” she added.
And this effusive praise extends far beyond their creative endeavors, of course. In September 2022, O’Connell marked the couple’s fourth anniversary with a sweet post, in which he said “you’d have to scour the globe to try to find someone equally as talented, creative and hard working as you are, my love.”
“Then you’d have to do it a second time to try to find someone as kind, thoughtful and generous. A third time to find someone as funny, a fourth to find someone as loving, a fifth to find someone as beautiful,” he continued. “How you manage to be every one of these things all at once, will forever be the impossibility of you. Happy anniversary, Baby, I love the hell out of you.”

Celebrating their fifth anniversary in 2023, the star shared a photo of his longtime love riding a motorcycle and wrote “Happy anniversary to my absolute dream girl!!! Best 5 years of my life!!!”

The influencer reciprocated the love, sharing a post of her own and included a series of sweet photos together and writing, “half a decade with the love of my life ♥️ lucky us.”
And, long before they marked five years together or got engaged, Sulewski and O’Connell celebrated several other couple milestones.
In October 2019, the “Till Forever Falls Apart” singer and YouTube star announced that they bought their first house together and a few months later, they announced that they had rescued a pitbull named Peaches.

The couple has also walked several red carpets together, from the Grammys and the Vanity Fair’s Oscars afterparty to the Barbie premiere’s iconic pink carpet.
Sulewski attended the Barbie premiere to support both her man and his sister — whom she has a close relationship with — as the sibling duo collaborated to create the film’s Grammy-winning song, “What Was I Made For?”
