Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page Is Returning to Netflix in What Could Be His Sexiest Role Yet
The White Witch may not be offering Edmund Turkish delight this time around.
Though details on Greta Gerwig’s adaptations of The Chronicles of Narnia remain scarce, Emma Mackey is among the few confirmed to be taking part. And she’ll be following in storied footsteps playing the White Witch, formally known as Jadis, more than two decades after Tilda Swinton played the part in the 2005 take on the C.S. Lewis novel.
As for if the Sex Education alum reached out to the Oscar winner for any tips on portraying the iconic character?
“No, I didn’t,” Emma told E! News in an exclusive interview on the red carpet at the world premiere of her new movie Ella McCay in Los Angeles earlier this month. “Different vibe. I mean, Tilda [is my] hero, [but] no, no, we didn’t [speak]. I didn’t reach out.”
And while the 29-year-old gave no specifics on what made the Netflix remakes unique from the first iterations, for her, it has been “heaven” to reteam with Greta, who she previously worked with on 2023’s Barbie.
