John Krasinski and Emily Blunt hit the red carpet in style to celebrate the highly anticipated premiere of Blunt’s newest film, The Smashing Machine, at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Blunt, 42, wore a pair of low-rise slouchy pinstriped black trousers. Her top was more intricate with a bandeau that had a triangle cut out in the center of her chest. The bandeau was attached with a lace mesh fabric, and there was a second triangle cutout showing off her abs.
She wore her brown hair in loose waves, and her glam included a nude lip gloss and shimmery nude eyeshadow with a nude blush.
The Office alum, 45, sported a dark grey glen plaid suit, with a coordinating vest, a black tie and black patent leather loafers.

Blunt took a break from filming The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York City to attend the premiere. The actress, who is reprising her role of Emily Charlton, has been seen on set with both her character’s signature red locks, as well as a striking platinum blonde ‘do.
Anne Hathaway (Andie Sachs), Meryl Streep (Miranda Priestly) and Stanley Tucci (Nigel) are also reprising their roles for the sequel and have been seen filming in the city.

The couple’s red carpet date night is their first major appearance in nearly a year, although they were just pictured at the US Open this weekend. The last time the couple stepped out was in September 2024 for The Albies, hosted by The Clooney Foundation for Justice, the organization founded by George and Amal Clooney in 2016.
For that star-studded night, Blunt wore a white strapless Tamara Ralph gown that featured sequin fringe at the hemline. She accessorized the look with a silver Rodo clutch, diamond earrings and bracelets.
Krasinski wore a tailored suit that consisted of a black blazer, pants and a black and white button-down. He completed the look with a black bow tie and an IWC watch.

In The Smashing Machine, Blunt stars alongside Dwayne Johnson, with whom she previously worked on Jungle Cruise. In an August interview for Vanity Fair, Johnson opened up about starring as Mark Kerr in the biographical drama — and specifically, how one of his real-life “best friends,” Blunt, was crucial when accessing the “vulnerability” necessary to portray the real-life UFC legend. Blunt plays Kerr’s former wife, Dawn Staples.
“If Emily and I weren’t best friends, I don’t know that we could’ve gone to the places we went to,” Johnson, 53, said in the interview. “That closeness created the trust, which then allowed for the vulnerability, which then allowed for [us to] go anywhere.”

Blunt had nothing but kind words to say for her Jungle Cruise costar as well. She told Variety, “It seemed to be an effortless immersion — like a full disappearance, spooky. From day one, he was elsewhere.”
She added, “He has absorbed and borne witness to so much of what Mark has experienced that it was such a beautiful thing to watch this person let go of having to be an image, of having to be The Rock, and crack himself in half for this role.”
The Smashing Machine opens on Oct. 3.
