NEED TO KNOW
Ella Langley is prioritizing her health.
On Monday, Aug. 11, the “Weren’t for the Wind” singer shared on social media that she would be taking time off from touring with Morgan Wallen and Riley Green to recover from an illness.
“I’m so sad to be posting this. The past several weeks have been tough. I’ve been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever,” Langley, 26, wrote on Instagram.
She continued: “After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health — mind, body, and heart. I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can’t do that without first taking care of myself.”
“Sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down. I’m so grateful for your understanding and your love — it truly means the world to me,” wrote Langley.
On the following slide, the “Nicotine” artist listed the seven shows she’d be missing throughout August.
“I’ll be back on the road in September ready to give you my all,” she wrote.
Langley’s health update comes after the release of her collaboration with BigXthaPlug on Friday, Aug. 8 titled “Hell at Night.”
In a video shared by the rapper on Instagram, the duo talked about how the song came together — and he gave her a bouquet of flowers.
Meanwhile, on Aug. 2, Langley celebrated the one-year anniversary of her sophomore album Hungover.
“one whole year of hungover. this record has changed my life. thank you to everyone who helped bring this record to life & to everyone who has listened since. here’s to the next,” she wrote on Instagram.
Hungover included her award-winning collaboration with Green, 36. In November, the duo took home the CMA Award for musical event of the year and told reporters about the fan stories they heard afterward.

“When we wrote the song, we were laughing thinking this might cause some marriages, maybe some divorces, and definitely some children. I like it,” she explained.
The duo also told PEOPLE it was “wild” that they beat out “some really good people.”
“This song happened so organically,” Langley said. “Riley being on the song and writing his verse is the same thing. Everything happened the way it was supposed to and I’m just really grateful to be here tonight.”
