Dylan Dreyer didn’t let her personal news keep her from her work.
The 43-year-old meteorologist appeared on the Today show on Monday, July 21, filling in for weatherman Al Roker. This appearance marked her first after Dreyer took to Instagram on Friday, July 18, after the Today show’s broadcast to share the news that she and husband Brian Fichera had “made the decision to separate.”
The Today show regular appeared throughout Monday’s show, also stepping in for the Pop Start segment, traditionally covered by Carson Daly.

And during the 3rd Hour of Today, which Dreyer traditionally co-hosts, she was seated at the center of the round table, flanked by NBC’s Laura Jarrett, who filled in for Craig Melvin, and correspondent Savannah Sellers.
And while Dreyer asked Jarrett and Sellers about their weekends, she abstained from sharing any personal details about her own life. Dreyer was all smiles, wearing a lavender eyelet dress throughout the first three hours of the NBC morning show.

On Friday, she opened up to her followers on Instagram about the status of her marriage to Fichera, with whom she shares three sons — Calvin, 8, Oliver, 5, and Rusty, 3.
“I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate,” Dreyer wrote. “We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends.”
The meteorologist added that the former couple’s priority remained with their three children amid their split.

“Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another,” she added.
Dreyer and Fichera, 38, tied the knot in 2012 after meeting while working at the same local Boston news station.
A source previously told PEOPLE: “Dylan and Brian remain best friends, and they are committed to coparenting and putting their three children first.”
The family spent the Fourth of July holiday together, with Dreyer posting pictures of their outing to the Macy’s fireworks special, which she hosts for NBC.
Fichera also joined Dreyer on her recent trip to the American century golf championships in Lake Tahoe, where he served as her caddy.
