President Donald Trump is not a fan of Marjorie Taylor Greene’s 60 Minutes interview, taking to his Truth Social account on Monday, Dec. 8, the day after the interview aired on CBS, to rant about the conversation the U.S. representative had with journalist Lesley Stahl.
Referring to the politician from Georgia as “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown (Green turns Brown under stress!),” the president said Greene, 51, had gone “BAD” after being “JILTED” by him. “Too much work, not enough time, and her ideas are, NOW, really BAD – She sort of reminds me of a Rotten Apple!” Trump, 79, wrote.
“Marjorie is not AMERICA FIRST or MAGA, because nobody could have changed her views so fast, and her new views are those of a very dumb person,” he continued.

The president then slammed 60 Minutes and Stahl, 83, calling the program “Trump hating” and saying that the CBS News reporter “still owes me an apology” after he claimed she “attacked” him on the show.
Calling Greene “very poorly prepared,” Trump added, “in her confusion [she] made many really stupid statements.”
But Trump’s main issue, however, surrounded 60 Minutes and its parent company, Paramount. “My real problem with the show, however, wasn’t the low IQ traitor, it was that the new ownership of 60 Minutes, Paramount, would allow a show like this to air,” he wrote.
He added, “THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN THE OLD OWNERSHIP, who just paid me millions of Dollars for FAKE REPORTING about your favorite President, ME!”

Trump ended his message, writing, “P.S. I hereby demand a complete and total APOLOGY, though far too late to be meaningful, from Lesley Stahl and 60 Minutes.”
During Greene’s interview on 60 Minutes, which aired on Sunday, Dec. 7, the politician made numerous claims against President Trump. She also alleged that Republican lawmakers speak very differently about Trump behind the scenes.
“I watched many of my colleagues go from making fun of him, making fun of how he talks, making fun of me constantly for supporting him, to when he won the primary in 2024, they all started — excuse my language, Lesley — kissing his ass, and decided to put on a MAGA hat for the first time,” she said.
She added that many Republicans are “terrified to step out of line and get a nasty Truth Social post on them.”

The congresswoman has represented Georgia’s 14th district since January 2021 and was previously a longtime supporter of Trump’s agenda. However, the two have been at odds in recent months, with Greene openly criticizing some of Trump’s decisions, including his administration’s previous reluctance to release files related to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
In November, Trump said Greene had “lost her way” and withdrew his endorsement of her.
Trump’s influence over Paramount and CBS became a major news story back in July when Stephen Colbert announced that The Late Show had been cancelled.
While CBS told PEOPLE at the time that the decision was “not related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount,” others pointed to Colbert’s comments about Paramount’s settlement with Trump days before the cancellation news broke.
Paramount was also in the midst of a merger with entertainment company Skydance at the time — a deal that required approval from the Trump administration.
