NEED TO KNOW
Dolly Parton is sending blessings this Thanksgiving.
On Thursday, Nov. 27, the country icon, 79, wished fans a Happy thanksgiving on her Instagram page following her health challenges.
“Well hey! It’s Dolly here, and I want to wish all of you and your family blessings this Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for all of you and for the memories that we’ve shared through the years,” she began.
Parton added, “So Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and just know that I will always love you.”
“Wishing you and your family blessings this Thanksgiving ❤️,” she captioned the video.
In the comment section, many fans responded by sending their well wishes to the star.
“You’ve been a sweet comfort to me since my childhood. You are a shining beacon of light and hope in this dark world and like so many, I love you Dolly! Wishing you every bit of good, light, and love this holiday season and always🥰❤️🧡💛💚💙💜,” one person commented.

A second added, “happy thanksgiving dolly! thankful for you!”
“And we will ALWAYS love you dear Dolly!❤️,” another commented.
“Dolly , Happy Thanksgiving. I know how hard it is to have vacant spot at the table. Wishing you a blessed day with your family. 🦃🥧,” another fan added, referencing the death of Parton’s husband Carl Dean, who died in March at the age of 82.
The “Jolene” singer’s message comes after she accepted her induction into the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Hall of Fame virtually on Monday, Nov. 17, following some health challenges.
“Well hey there, it’s Dolly,” she said in the clip. “And I sure wish I could be with you in person today, but you probably heard that I’ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall, and my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while.”
She then thanked her business partners in Dollywood and apologized for not being physically present.
The honor came just a day after the legend received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in a video message at the 2025 Governors Awards.
Marking her first Oscar win, Parton called the award a “great honor” and “a blessing of a lifetime.”
In September, Parton announced that she would be postponing her Las Vegas residency from December to September 2026.
A source has since told PEOPLE that Parton was on the mend.
“Dolly is getting better every day,” the insider said earlier this month. “She is at home taking care of herself while many friends and family visit her,” the source added. “In true Dolly spirit she has already started decorating for the holidays — her favorite time of year.”
