Do Zavier & Tiffany Get Married?

Madea’s back! 

Everyone’s favorite sharp-tongued matriarch (created and played by Tyler Perry) has been making audiences laugh with her and her family’s crazy antics for two decades. The film series’ latest installment — Madea’s Destination Wedding — premiered on Netflix on July 11 and has proven to be one of the franchise’s most outrageous chapters yet.

In the film, Madea’s nephew Brian (also played by Perry) is blindsided when his daughter Tiffany (Diamond White) announces she’s marrying a rapper she just met. Oh, and the wedding is in just two weeks. 

As Brian grows suspicious of the flashy fiancé, Zavier (Xavier Smalls), Madea begins to question whether Debrah (Taja V. Simpson), Brian’s ex and Tiffany’s mom, has her own agenda for rushing the big day.

“Audiences have enjoyed watching Madea in hilariously entertaining scenarios as the family’s matriarch, but now she’s a fish out of water on vacation,” Perry told PEOPLE in June 2025. “There was a lot more fun and ridiculousness to play with in this Bahamas setting.”

How did Madea’s Destination Wedding end?

Throughout the movie, Madea becomes increasingly suspicious of Tiffany’s whirlwind engagement and the motives behind it. Her concerns deepen when, during a trip to the casino, she overhears Debrah’s wealthy husband, Dennis (Brandon Sutton), talking on the phone. 

Her eavesdropping uncovers two major bombshells: Debrah and Dennis are getting divorced, and he’s promised Tiffany $1 million if she gets married — which her mom knew about, while she didn’t.

Worried that Debrah is secretly pushing her daughter to the altar to pocket the money herself, Madea confronts Tiffany and tells her everything. Outraged by the betrayal, Tiffany decides to call off the wedding.

Why was Brian against Tiffany’s wedding?

Brian is immediately wary of Tiffany’s fiancé, whom he finds arrogant and disrespectful. His suspicions boil over when he spots Zavier in a heated argument with a mysterious woman at the resort. Convinced he’s caught him cheating, Brian confronts Zavier in front of the entire family. 

The public accusation, combined with the revelation about Debrah’s real reasons for pushing the nuptials, pushes Tiffany over the edge. Feeling betrayed on all sides, she calls the whole thing off.

Did Zavier cheat on Tiffany?

Determined to get answers, Brian goes to Zavier’s room to confront him directly. While he’s there, the woman he thought was Zavier’s mistress reveals she’s actually his estranged mother, whom he chose not to invite to the wedding.

The tension between Brian and Zavier finally comes to a head in an emotional balcony scene. Brian admits he may have been too quick to judge, allowing his protective instincts to cloud his perception of who Zavier really is.

In response, Zavier opens up about his past, revealing that he used to sell drugs and has witnessed his brother being killed. He says that meeting Tiffany gave him hope for a different future, and he’s committed to doing whatever it takes to take care of her.

What happened to Debrah? 

After Tiffany stormed off, Debrah finds her daughter in the hotel lobby with Madea and her Aunt Bam (Cassi Davis) and Cora (Tamela J. Mann). She confesses that while yes, she knew about her ex-husband’s million-dollar present and pushed for the wedding, she never planned to keep the money for herself. 

She says she genuinely believed Tiffany was in love with Zavier and just wanted to support her. Still, Tiffany is hurt by her mother’s secrecy and frustrated by her father’s claims that her fiancé had been unfaithful. She storms off again, and Debrah agrees to skip the wedding.

But the next morning, just as Debrah prepares to leave, Madea stops her in the hotel lobby and convinces her to attend the ceremony after all.

Did Zavier and Tiffany get married?

After overhearing Zavier’s heartfelt conversation with her dad, Tiffany has a change of heart and decides to go through with the wedding. The couple ties the knot in a short but sweet ceremony, surrounded by their entire family, who are all eager to get back to Atlanta.

But one final surprise awaits Brian. As he checks out of the hotel, the clerk hands him a thick, multi-page bill, and he learns that everyone has been charging their luxurious resort amenities to his card. 

Brian faints at the sight of the thousands of dollars he now owes, and Madea makes her escape.
