NEED TO KNOW
A former assistant of Sean “Diddy” Combs who accused her one-time boss of sexual assault testified that she would post messages of love and admiration toward the Bad Boy Records founder because she wanted to keep him happy.
The former Combs employee, testifying under the pseudonym Mia, was asked during redirect why she didn’t post about her low moments with Combs, whom she previously testified sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions.
“That’s not what social media was for,” she told the court, saying that it was important to keep him happy.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Madison Smyser asked Mia why she felt the need to keep Combs happy.
“Because when he was happy, I was safe,” Mia answered.

Mia’s testimony lasted multiple days. During cross-examination, defense attorneys attempted to cast doubt on her claims, accusing her of joining a “MeToo money grab.”
Mia also testified that she witnessed Combs assault Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, the music mogul’s ex who is the prosecution’s star witness.
Combs is charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, and has pleaded not guilty.
