In the 2006 comedy, Andy is immersed into the chaotic fashion world after becoming an assistant to powerful Runway editor Miranda Priestly (Streep, 76). Grenier, 48, played Nate Cooper, Andy’s bumbling college boyfriend who was not received well by fans of the film. The Entourage actor previously told Entertainment Weekly in 2021 that he was surprised to learn that fans felt his character was the true villain of the movie.
As Andy’s career flourishes at Runway, her and Nate’s relationship becomes strained, with the two eventually parting ways. Andy leaves Runway to pursue her journalism career and Nate moves to Boston to become a chef.
Other cast joining the sequel include Rachel Bloom, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Simone Ashley and Pauline Chalamet.

According to Variety, the sequel follows Priestly “as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and as she faces off against Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 arrives in theaters May 1, 2026.
