Lucas Adams is making his way to Genoa City!
PEOPLE can confirm that Adams, 32, is joining the cast of The Young and the Restless as Noah Newman.
Adams is set to begin filming this month and will appear on the show this fall.
Noah, who is the son of Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow), was previously portrayed by Rory Gibson from 2021 to 2023. The role was played by Robert Adamson, Luke Kleintank, and a series of child actors since his birth on the show in March 1997.

Fans may recall that this isn’t the first time that Adams has appeared on The Young and the Restless.
In one of his professional acting roles, he played Wesley on an episode of the soap opera in March 2012.
“I played a fan of Angelina’s (Diana DeGarmo),” he told Soap Opera Digest in 2017. “All I could think was, ‘Don’t mess up,’ because we’d have to do it all over again, and I would be wasting everyone’s time.”
Prior to joining the soap opera this time around, Adams starred on Days of Our Lives.
He played Tripp Dalton, the son of Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Ava Vitale (Tamara Braun), beginning in 2017.
He received two Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor for the role before exiting in 2019. However, he returned to the soap opera in 2020 before leaving again in 2022. He also reprised the part for the spinoff Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.
In April 2024, viewers saw Tripp leave for Hong Kong with his onscreen love Wendy (Victoria Grace).

PEOPLE previously confirmed Adams’ Days on Our Lives mother will also appear on The Young and the Restless.
The two-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress will be playing the role of Sienna Bacall, who is described as someone having “personal connections to several characters” in Genoa City.
Braun has already begun taping for The Young and the Restless, with her onscreen debut coming this fall.
Adams also portrayed Josh Wilcox on Liv and Maddie from 2015 to 2017.
The actor met actress Shelby Wulfert in 2016 when they costarred together on the Disney Channel and got engaged in 2021. The pair tied the knot on Oct. 15, 2022 at the Chateau Hiddenwood estate in Waxahachie, Texas.

“This marks the beginning of starting to really build our family together and what that means for us,” Wulfert told PEOPLE at the time. “We want to have kids in a couple of years so starting to prepare for that next chapter of being parents and the next chapter of the rest of our lives.”
She celebrated Adams’ latest professional accomplishment on her Instagram Stories, writing, “So proud of you babe!”
