Cruz Beckham is getting racy!
The 20-year-old musician released a new song, “Optics,” on Friday, Oct. 24, and the lyrics are NSFW.
“Take a thousand selfies in your bed while I trip in mine / I love me some mushrooms and good head and an erotic 69,” he croons on the track.
“Stay high fashion, no comedown, no crashing / But you wanna know how it looks, I wanna know how it feels,” he continues in the chorus.
Despite the risqué nature of the song, the music video features Beckham and his bandmates singing in a field, wearing autumnal sweaters, and playing with puppies. In fact, the youngest son of Victoria and David Beckham stated the song isn’t about sex at all.
In a comment on Beckham’s Instagram post teasing the music video, one person wrote, “I don’t understand why your first song had to be about sex, you could’ve written about anything and you decided to go gruesome, keep it PG sunshine.”

Beckham clapped back and responded, “Actually, this song isn’t about sex. It’s about perception vs reality. It’s about the optics of present time, how everything is not what it seems, how we judge others and situations just from what we see and learning to care more about oneself and those closest to you than what strangers think.”
“Ironically, also there’s nothing wrong with good sex,” he concluded.
In addition to “Optics,” Beckham released a second single called “Lick the Toad.” The musician, who released his first single, “If Every Day Was Christmas,” in December 2016, has also started writing songs with The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard.
“We started writing songs together and we’ve become mates. I’d just love to help him navigate [a career in music],” the “Naive” singer told The Sun back in March.

In the same interview, Pritchard noted that the young rising star is “naturally going to come under criticism because of who his parents are. He’s aware of that.”
“It was great when he said ‘Jesus was a nepo baby too,’ ” the Pritchet told the outlet. “I thought that was quite a funny response.”
In late 2023, Victoria shared a video of Cruz giving an impromptu performance at a local pub. Cruz joined another musician to play “Come Together” by the Beatles and had the opportunity to show off his skills with a guitar solo.
“@cruzbeckham Spontaneous performance last night at the pub! 👏 kisses @davidbeckham,” the mom of four captioned the Instagram video.
