Colman Domingo is celebrating his second Emmy nomination!
On Tuesday, July 15, the 55-year-old actor was nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category at the 2025 Emmy Awards for his work as Danny in The Four Seasons.
In the category, he is up against Ike Barinholtz for The Studio, Jeff Hiller for Somebody Somewhere, Ebon Moss-Bachrach for The Bear, Bowen Yang for Saturday Night Live as well as Shrinking stars Harrison Ford and Michael Urie.
Domingo’s recognition was the sole nomination for the Netflix series, an adaptation of Alan Alda’s 1981 film of the same name.

Domingo reacted to his nomination and gave his The Four Seasons castmates a shout-out in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
“I knew it was time to have a little fun and flex my comedy muscles,” Domingo began. “Who knew it would be with the heavyweights such as Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Will Forte and Marco Calvani?”
“This nomination is for all of us, because every comedian can tell you, you can’t be funny alone,” he continued. “You need some wonderful people to play off of. And I am tremendously blessed.”
The Four Seasons followed a group of old pals as they navigated their relationships — both in their friend group as well as in their marriages — over the course of a year.
Alongside Domingo’s Danny were Kate (Fey), Jack (Forte), Nick (Carell), Anne (Kenney-Silver) and Claude (Calvani), the latter of whom is Danny’s husband.
Domingo also shared he was “grateful” for Alda’s “beloved” film as the source of inspiration behind the series and the show’s creators for “inviting me in to play.”
“Four Seasons is a cozy gift of comedy that we all knew we needed and audiences around the world have been showing such love,” Domingo added.
He concluded his statement by saying he “can’t wait” to get started filming the show’s second season.
The show received a season 2 pickup just two weeks after season 1 began streaming.

Domingo previously won his first Emmy in 2022 in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for playing Ali Muhammed on Euphoria.
“A lot of kindness brought me to this stage. People who love me, people who lift me up, thank you to all of those people. Everyone who says yes to me,” he said in his acceptance speech at the time.
He also shouted out his “darling” husband, Raúl, saying, “I cannot forget him. This is for you, Raúl.”
