NEED TO KNOW
Cole McBee’s engagement night was quite the party.
The McBee Dynasty star proposed to girlfriend Kacie Adkison on Friday, Nov. 7, and PEOPLE exclusively revealed the happy news, which Adkison said left her feeling “very happy and very shocked.”
At BravoCon 2025, Cole reveals new details about the celebration that followed his proposal — which also involved the couple’s 10-month-old daughter, Blair.
“It was a perfect night. Kacie loved it,” Cole tells PEOPLE. “We surprised her, which was like — she doesn’t get surprised [by] anything. She knows everything going on, so that was awesome.”
“The weather was perfect, everything about it was just perfect, so it was an awesome night.”

Adkison was so excited — and surprised — Cole reveals, that she “celebrated hard.”
“She freaked out at first, but it’s kind of funny — she had so much champagne that night that she slept on the bathroom floor, so that is funny,” Cole says.
His brother Jesse chimes in, “She was excited!”
“She celebrated hard,” Cole adds.
His brother, Steven McBee Jr., says that the proposal “couldn’t have gone better, and Kacie was so happy.”
“We knew it was happening ahead of time, yeah, and it was so neat being there,” he tells PEOPLE. “She’s been glowing ever since.”

Cole previously told PEOPLE that the “number one thing” he wanted to do was to surprise his fiancée with the proposal. “Kacie is the biggest spy, she knows everything going on, and we were able to keep it a secret,” he said.
“I had no idea. I thought we were just going to dinner, and when I was walking outside, I thought I was being pranked,” Adkison admitted. “I realized it wasn’t a prank when I saw Cole and Blair walk out, and the whole trail up to the gazebo was covered in flowers.”
She said she “started crying” right away and feels like she “blacked out from emotion, so I couldn’t do anything. I was extremely caught off guard. I still can’t believe this happened.”
“I know my family is very excited. They’ve considered Cole family forever,” she continued. “And I can’t believe none of them gave it away. They’re not good with secrets.”
The couple already has some ideas, too, on when they want to say “I do.” Cole said he wants a “big wedding,” while Adkison said, “We would like to do it early October, late September of next year, but it just depends. And we want to do it on the farm with a mechanical bull.”
At BravoCon, the McBee brothers also gave an update on their father, Steve McBee Sr., who is required to self-surrender to prison on Monday, Dec. 1.
“We’ve just been trying to be there for support and love and going over to his house for dinner, spending as much quality time as we can, obviously before Dec. 1,” Steven Jr. tells PEOPLE. “It’s a tough situation, but we’re there with him every step of the way.”
“100 percent agree,” Cole adds. “We try to spend as much time as we can with him. Obviously it’s a busy time with harvest and fall and everything going on, but we’re over there for dinners three or four times a week, and we just support him so much, and we’re going to keep working through any problem or anything going on, and we’re going to get through this.”
Jesse says, “Yeah, I agree. Not much has changed… we were going over there for dinners beforehand, obviously love and support our dad as much as we can, but we’re a family at the end of the day and we’ll get through anything and this is something that we’ll just get through again, for sure.”
In November 2024, Steven Sr., 52, pleaded guilty to falsifying documents to receive unauthorized insurance benefits. This ultimately cost the U.S. government more than $4 million.
Judge Bough presided over the sentencing in the Kansas City, Mo., district court on Oct. 16, where he ordered McBee to 24 months in prison and another two years on supervised release thereafter, according to the court’s text order entered on the public docket. The reality star will also pay $4,022,124 in restitution.
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys is available to stream on Peacock. BravoCon 2025 continues through Sunday, Nov. 16 at Las Vegas’ Caesars Forum.
