There’s no denying the alchemy of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship.
Two years into “The Life of a Showgirl” singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s romance, the NFL team’s CEO Clark Hunt shared more insight into the impact the high-profile relationship has had on the league.
“It certainly has opened up an opportunity for us to connect with a new demographic from a fan standpoint,” Hunt told the Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Aug. 22. “I’m pretty sure that the Chiefs ranked No. 1 among NFL teams in the female demographic.”
Indeed, Hunt estimated that the Chiefs fanbase now leans female, calling it a “very unique” demographic among NFL teams. As he noted of Swift, “She clearly has had a big impact.”
The businessman, however, insisted that the benefit the couple is having on the league is purely a bonus—having previously shut down speculation that their romance is a “marketing stunt.”
“The first thing to mention here is how happy we are for both Kelce and Swift in their relationship,” he noted. “That’s the most important thing.”
