NEED TO KNOW
Charli xcx said “I do” to George Daniel for a second time during a wedding ceremony in Sicily over the weekend — and now the designer of her dress is revealing all the dreamy details of her bridal look.
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, designer Danielle Frankel shared a post on Instagram featuring artsy photos of the Brat singer’s dress, and detailed all the special touches that went into the design.
“The custom gown features a bias-cut ivory silk chiffon slip with delicate spaghetti straps and an elongated train,” she wrote. “Layers of bias-cut chiffon ribbons drape around the bodice and cascade down the center back, finishing with hand-embroidered organza micro petals and dripping baroque pearls that trickle down the train.”
According to the designer, a transparent chiffon overlay “reveals a structured internal bustier that contours the silhouette.”

Charli’s stylist, Chris Horan, commented on the post that the dress was “so special and so Charli.”
Charli, 33, and Daniel, 35, celebrated their Sicilian wedding on Saturday, Sept. 13, with the groom’s The 1975 bandmates Matty Healy, Ross MacDonald and Adam Hann among the guests. Artists beabadoobee and Clairo were also spotted at the nuptials.
Ahead of the ceremony, Charli (born Charlotte Emma Aitchison) shared a glimpse of the pre-wedding festivities on Instagram. She and some friends — including Healy’s fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel, and influencer and entrepreneur Devon Lee Carlson — could be seen exploring the streets of Sicily, admiring artwork and having drinks during a night out.

Charli and her drummer husband first exchanged vows in an intimate civil ceremony at Hackney Town Hall in London on July 19, with about 20 loved ones present, including Charli’s parents. The bride wore an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood gown, along with a dramatic veil, for the occasion.
A source told PEOPLE at the time that the couple “wanted the [London] ceremony to feel special and personal, but not over-the-top.”

“They have been planning this for months and were so excited to finally say ‘I do’ even if it was low-key,” the insider said. “They danced all night. They have such playful energy as a couple. It was the most fun celebration.”
The source also teased at the time that “the party’s just getting started” for Charli and Daniel, as a “larger celebration” was still to come. “They’ve always dreamed of a big party in Italy,” the insider said. “Somewhere beautiful and private, where all their friends can let loose. It will be star-studded. This was always the plan.”
Charli and Daniel got engaged in November 2023. They first connected in 2021 while working on the single “Spinning,” and confirmed their romantic relationship in May 2022 when Charli shared photos of the pair vacationing together.
