NEED TO KNOW
A CBS News reporter was left briefly stunned while on camera in a reaction relatable to Swifties everywhere after learning of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement.
Olivia Rinaldi was standing outside the White House when the announcement broke on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
Her mouth fell open at the news.
“She just posted it — oh my God, oh my God. … I feel like Paul Revere right now,” she joked as she shared the update first with her team and then with CBS viewers.
(“The ring is ginormous,” Rivaldi also gushed as she took in photos from the proposal.)
“This is a very exciting moment for me in my professional career because I get to announce that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged,” she said on air as the anchor chuckled.
A clip of the moment, shared by CBS on social media, has already been seen hundreds of thousands of times.
Her reaction came right after the pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared their happy news on Instagram in a joint post captioned “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”
