Casandra “Cassie” Ventura has returned to social media since welcoming her third child with husband Alex Fine, and testifying against her ex Sean “Diddy” Combs in trial for charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
On Thursday, Aug 7, the singer, who gave birth to a son almost two weeks after testifying in Combs’ criminal trial in May, posted a video on her Instagram Stories about her postpartum journey.
In the video, initially shared by the momswithplans Instagram page, a man is seen dancing in front of a crowd as DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller plays in the background.

The video has text above it reading “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum.”
Ventura commented on her repost of the video, “Factual. Little by little. lol.”
PEOPLE confirmed that Ventura welcomed her third baby, a boy, with Fine, 32, on May 28. The couple is also parents to daughters Frankie Stone, 5, and Sunny Cinco, 4.
The “You and ME” singer was previously involved in a decades-long relationship with Combs, which ended in 2018.
During Combs’ trial, Ventura detailed the abuse she allegedly suffered during their relationship, including the alleged “freak offs” Combs hosted. The “freak offs” were sex parties during which Ventura and others claimed they were forced to have sexual encounters with male sex workers while Combs watched.
The music mogul was found guilty of prostitution charges and was acquitted of the most serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

Fine, who has been married to Ventura since 2019, was present during Ventura’s testimony and issued a statement in defense of his wife after the trial wrapped up its first week.
“I have felt so many things sitting there,” he said. “I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass. I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her.”
Fine also issued the clarification, “I did not save Cassie, as some have said. To say that is an insult to the years of painful work my wife has done to save herself. Cassie saved Cassie.”

He added, “She alone broke free from abuse, coercion, violence and threats. She did the work of fighting the demons that only a demon himself could have done to her. All I have done is love her as she has loved me.”
