Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are sharing their best wedding planning advice.
In a cover story for Glamour’s June issue, titled “Love Rules,” the couple offered an intimate glimpse into their relationship — and revealed what they learned from their 2022 nuptials. When it comes to their tips for other couples preparing to tie the knot, it’s all about sneaking in some special, private moments amid the whirlwind of activity on the big day.
“Someone gave us this advice, and I’m so glad we listened: Take a moment during [your wedding] day just for the two of you. Step away, breathe, be together. Those were my favorite moments,” Nicola, 30, told the magazine.
“Weddings can be intense, especially when you’re busy making sure everyone else is having fun,” she continued. “That little break reminded us what it’s really about: us.”

Brooklyn, 26, then shared how the pair slipped away for a bit during their wedding, which was held at Nicola’s family estate in Palm Beach, Fla.
“After the ceremony, find time to disappear for a second. We took a quick drive, just the two of us. It was perfect,” he recalled, before sharing a little piece of marriage advice.
“Love each other, be honest and always protect one another,” he said. “I had our vows tattooed on me.”
The couple also opened up to Glamour about their perfectly imperfect engagement. Nicola said Brooklyn’s proposal took her completely by surprise — and left her so overwhelmed with emotion that her face swelled up from all the crying.
“I honestly had no idea — I would’ve worn a different outfit! Brooklyn planned everything in secret,” she said. “After the proposal, [my family] drove up in golf carts. I cried so hard my face was swollen. I couldn’t even take a proper photo. I only really looked at the ring later.”

“I’d gotten into a golf cart accident and had to get stitches in my hand. My thumb was wrapped. I couldn’t even open the wine!” he told Glamour.
The pair also shared their takes on when you know it’s true love.
“It’s this calm feeling, a sense of safety that takes over your whole body,” Nicola said, noting that she had “never felt that before” until meeting Brooklyn. The two first crossed paths at Coachella in 2017, and Brooklyn remembered being “instantly drawn to” Nicola the moment he laid eyes on her.
As for his definition of love, he told Glamour: “You should marry your best friend. Someone who feels like home. For me, that’s Nicola.”

While the two have fond memories of their glamorous Florida wedding, the event has been an ongoing source of contention between their respective families, multiple sources previously told PEOPLE. Some of the tension arose when Victoria, 51, allegedly ruined the first dance at the wedding, leaving the newlyweds feeling hurt and confused.

A source close to the Peltz family told PEOPLE last week that Nicola and Brooklyn had been planning on dancing together to a song performed live by Marc Anthony. However, the insider said, “before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up … Victoria Beckham!’ ”
The source claimed that Nicola allegedly “felt that Victoria ruined her wedding, and couldn’t understand why.” A second source, meanwhile, said the moment left everyone in the room in complete shock.
“It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop,” they recalled.
But a source who attended the wedding tells PEOPLE the evening played out differently, sharing that “Nicola and Brooklyn had their formal first dance early in the evening,” adding that Marc Anthony’s performance came much later in the evening.
“Later on, when everyone was casual, Marc Anthony performed and got people dancing. Brooklyn and Victoria danced, David and Harper danced, and everyone had a great time.”
