NEED TO KNOW
Brittany Snow has revealed that not everyone makes it out of The Hunting Wives unscathed in season 2.
On Sunday, Jan. 11, the actress — who stars as Sophie O’Neil in the Netflix drama — shared during the 2026 Golden Globes that fans can anticipate a “wild” death in the show’s forthcoming second season.
“Wild. Every script is a new adventure. They said that we couldn’t top last year and somehow I think we are doing it,” Snow, 39, told Entertainment Tonight when describing shooting the season. “I’m surprised. And I even knew what was coming a little bit. So I think people are going to be very shocked, I think people are going to be angry.”
She added, “I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing to say, but definitely people should watch.”

As for the surprise death in the season, Snow said she “stood up on my couch” when learning the news. “Someone dies,” she said. “I won’t tell you who. That is a wild play. Wild behavior.”

Elsewhere during the night, Snow confirmed to E! Live from the Red Carpet that next season will indeed be “more steamy” than its predecessor. “Oh, it’s just as steamy,” she told E!’s Justin Sylvester. “It’s more steamy, actually. We’ve filmed some scenes, we’ve played some Reneé Rapp. We got into a groove. We’re doing it.”
She added, “A lot of things happen this season that are very shocking, I will say. It’s gonna leave people very angry but in a sexy way.”
The series follows Sophie (Snow) as she moves to Texas and falls in with an elite group of women led by Margo Banks (Malin Akerman), who she sparks a complicated and passionate relationship with. After season 1 premiered in July, Netflix confirmed in September that The Hunting Wives was renewed for a second season. Next season will be based on an original script, while season 1 was based on May Cobb’s book.
It’ll pick up with Sophie and Margo “on the outs,” per a logline from the streamer. “But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?”
Snow’s success on The Hunting Wives also comes amid Netflix’s The Beast in Me and Hulu’s Murdaugh: Death in the Family, both of which she starred in last year. “This year has just been one of those years where I challenge myself, and sometimes I miss and sometimes I win, and I get to learn from it all,” she told PEOPLE during the premiere of The Beast in Me in November, adding, “That’s really exciting for me.”
The Hunting Wives season 1 is now available to stream on Netflix.
