Billy Ray Cyrus is thrilled for Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando!
On Wednesday, Dec. 3, the “Achy Breaky Heart” hitmaker shared a sweet Instagram post congratulating the happy couple on their engagement.
“No wonder you turned out so special … You have the greatest Godmother in the world!!! @dollyparton 🌎 So happy you and MaxxAgazillion found each other!!!!” Billy Ray, 64, captioned the post.
He continued, “Congratulations! Happy to see you both so happy!!! love Dad ❤️.”
Alongside the caption, Billy Ray shared a series of photos. The first photo was a throwback of Dolly Parton, Miley and him sitting together and smiling. The second snap was a shot of his daughter and Morando on a red carpet, while the final shot featured Miley with her arms around her fiancé at a restaurant.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the “Walk of Fame” singer, 33, was engaged to the musician, 27.
At the time, a rep for Miley did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. Page Six was the first to report the news.
The duo’s engagement came just one day after Miley stepped out to the Avatar: Fire and Ash world premiere in Los Angeles. Miley was spotted sporting a diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger. She showcased the sparkly stone as she and Morando posed for together on the red carpet.
According to Deux Moi, the three-time Grammy winner was first spotted wearing the ring around mid-November, which ended up being visible in photos from her birthday dinner late in the month.
Miley and Morando were initially romantically linked in December 2021, when they were photographed getting close backstage during Cyrus’ NBC holiday special, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, in Miami.
By April 2022, the pair seemingly confirmed their romance when they were spotted passionately kissing in West Hollywood.
Miley opened up to British Vogue in a cover story interview from June 2023 about how she and Morando first met.
“We got put on a blind date,” the Hannah Montana alum said at the time.
“Well, it was blind for me and not really for him,” Miley then clarified. “I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave.’ ”
