Let the Met Gala countdown begin!
If you were already excited for the 2026 Met Gala, prepare for the anticipation to level up a notch now that Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour have been announced as the co-chairs for the sartorial soirée.
On Dec. 10, Vogue confirmed the roles the aforementioned stars across entertainment, sport and fashion will hold at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s spring Costume Institute exhibition, which will be “Costume Art” themed next year.

The fashion fête will mark Beyoncé’s first Met Gala appearance in a decade since last walking the sartorial steps in 2016 when she attended the Manus x Machina gala in Givenchy Haute Couture. She’s attended seven times since making her debut in 2008.
Kidman and Williams, meanwhile, are Met Gala mainstays having attended several times over the years. The Oscar-winning actress and the seven-time Grand Slam champion both made appearances at the event’s “Superfine” gala this past May.

Additional host committee members will be announced at a later date.
“Costume Art” will be curated by Andrew Bolton. The theme will explore the dynamic between clothing and the body beneath, with the show organized into a series of thematic body types, ranging from the naked body to the pregnant body and the ageing body.

The Met Gala will take place on May 4, 2026.
