Bad Bunny Reveals His Favorite Menu Items at His Miami Restaurant Gekko

Ahead of taking the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage — and hot off his Grammy win — Bad Bunny is dishing on his favorite eats.

The singer and rapper, who co-owns the Miami restaurant Gekko with hospitality mogul David Grutman, shared his favorite menu items with PEOPLE.

Bad Bunny, born Benito Martínez Ocasio, has a preference for bold flavors when eating at the Japanese steakhouse, which also features Latin and tropical influences that capture the flavors of the South Florida city.

The sultry restaurant’s modern design elements include a U-shaped sushi bar, velvet draped booths and dramatic art installations.

It welcomes a mix of celebrities, athletes and locals. Past guests have included David Beckham, Eva Longoria, Kaia Gerber, Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner, J Balvin, Lil Wayne, Derek Jeter, Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston.

Here are the menu items that are a must for the Puerto Rican musician.

Beber Conmigo 

This citrus cocktail combines blanco tequila, Aperol, Licor 43 and passion fruit, and includes tropical and herbaceous notes to linger over.

Japanese Milk Bread 

Be sure to spread this pillowy bread layered with nori and furikake with the Saikyo miso butter it’s served with.

Hotate Tiradito 

A thinly sliced Hokkaido scallop sits atop a plantain leche de tigre.

Otoro Maki 

This hand-rolled maki is topped with otoro (tuna belly) and caviar, and garnished with baby Japanese peaches, cucumber and basil.

Crispy wagyu dumplings 

 Japanese wagyu beef is sliced and wrapped in puff pastry and served with miso ponzu aioli.

Oak Smoked chicken 

This chicken is marinated overnight, slow-smoked for three hours, and finished on a grill. A Japanese-inspired jerk sauce adds extra flavor.

Wagyu Experience 

Three ultra premium Japanese wagyu cuts are sourced from three different prefectures, sanuki kagawa, Hokkaido, and Miyazaki.

Lobster XO fried Rice 

An XO sauce packed with umami is paired with lobster meat, wok-fried with Tamanishiki rice and vegetables.

Dulce De Leche Lava Cake 

This molten dulce de leche cake comes with vanilla ice cream and miso crumble.

Bad Bunny released his album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS in January 2025, which led to a world tour, Puerto Rican residency, and appearance as musical guest during the finale of Saturday Night Live’s milestone season 50.

He won Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 1.

Harry Styles presented him with the final award of the night. Bad Bunny then sat in his seat, covered his face and began to cry before getting on stage and accepting his gramophone trophy.

On Sept. 28, the NFL announced Bad Bunny as the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performer.
